"wreak havoc" they shot some hoops and used a fire extinguisher. looks like a fun night their only f*** up was filming it and uploading it for everyone to see
i thought the league was going to do away with that BS and crack down hard on flopping? so much for that
that's embarrassing Put that in his highlight tapes for his kids to watch one day. Y'know, the stripper's kid.
I really don't understand why the NBA allows for so much BS foul drawing stuff. Everyone I knew that follows the NBA closely hates it. Everyone I know that follows the NBA casually hates it. I honestly don't know who its for.
my theory: they know people hate it. they call the fouls for specific players simply as a deterrent to future defenders, thinking people will adjust and they won't have to make those terrible calls in the future; the player will just get to where they want. stardom confirmed. see wade, harden. SGA might the newest one. it's like they intentionally pick good young player and say, "ok, nobody is allowed to touch this guy until they learn to get out of his way". anyway, i'm reading that the clips are struggling because westbrook's been out. will be interesting to watch. he has thrived in a bench role (thanks, a******!), and for all his warts, he's the closest thing that team has to a leader. i mean, other than ty auerbach, of course.
yeah, there was a two or three year period that was really rough, man. felt like i was being gaslit by...almost everyone. it's funny that people act like his decline was just him getting old/worse and not at all related to him not getting the same whistle.
yeah, but usually it doesn't infect the majority. usually, a set of agreed-upon factual observations can carry the day. i used to always note that harden basically never cracked 40 unless he had a zillion FTAs--something not true of other historically good offensive players (e.g., kobe). but nobody ever engaged with this fact in the press. it was just weird. i think people just liked his aloof vibe or something.
