Jackson started his career with okc, he apparently thought he was better than Brick as he was his backup
basically this. even OKC fans grew tired of jackson's overconfidence and to this day they still aren't very fond of him for basically quitting on the team before he was traded. i believe there were also issues that arose in the locker room because of jackson
it's time for Jeannie to let Ballmer know the Lakers will take Paul George off their hands to help start the rebuild. You got to get the Ingram and Lonzo's on the roster to make the big splash later on Funniest s*** would be for OKC to trade for George and Brick for some of their own gazillion first rounders (while keeping the Clippers picks for obvious reasons)
...word on the street is that The Other L.A. Team did not think being in and winning the Play In Tournament would garner much respect.
pacers win: in-season tournament is AWESOME! haliburton showing up on the big stage and taking down the has-beens! lakers win: in-season tournament is a JOKE! nobody cared but lebron and also refs or something. these articles are already in draft form right now.
i still think the tournament is stupid and unnecessary, but it'll still be funny to see all those takes if the lakers do win if any other team aside from the lakers had won the 2020 title, we'd still be hearing about how it was the hardest title to win
Yeah if, no “when” we win this Saturday …. having pretty much dominated most of the way and LeBron having played “like” a best player in the league and legitimate MVP contender so far this season …. a certain someone at some point when Bron’s had a bad game will probably show up again to disparage and discount the whole concept and turn it into a shot at him. Crazy! He saved the franchise for crissakes no two ways about it.
Seems the tenants have a nice run going as Harden has scored his 25k point and had a nice game doing the PG role. 6 game winning streak....
Some of their top players will get injured, they will fo on a losing streak, and Westbrick's brain is gonna explode due to overexposure to the bench. There's a 0% chance this team doesn't implode before the end of the season, winning streak or not.
wish i shared samson's optimism here, but the clips look like they're going to run up the standings. i do think it's worth noting that leonard's missed like, zero games so far, though. color me skeptical on that...
They are making it work, if they stay healthy... i hope they meet DEN in the PO and we'll play the winner of that series.
As usual, they will have problems with injuries. You know it's going to happen. Once Kawhi or PG go down, they are done.
Without Kawhi there's not one player on that roster worth a damn in the playoffs, and the probability of Kawhi being healthy come playoffs is extremely low. Plus, chemistry issues are just a question of time. Russ can't be happy sitting on the bench, he never was and never will be. So far, he's quet to keep up the narrative about how the Lakers mistreated him and the Clippers just agreed to his request to come off the bench. How long does it take for him to get really pissed with his playing time and start pouting? My guess is not very long. They also do not have a leader, which is pretty funny considering there are 4 future hall of famers on that squad.
Russ fancies himself as … and wants to be one ….. but how can you lead effectively when teammates see the brain farts always at the ready to do damage at the worst times? Game knows game.
