yeah, the "russ requested to come off the bench" thing was 100% something either his camp or ballmer drummed up to make him look like a good teammate. zero chance he actually requested that and i'm sure he's not happy about it either

if the lakers had the second-highest payroll in the league and a roster worth 35 million more than the clippers, and things looked like this...it would lead every story.

also, i want an investigation into the theis buyout. made no sense for indy to do that at precisely the time the clips needed a backup big. none.

again, if the lakers lost their backup c and had no recourse to fortify the position, and then a small market team randomly cut a guy on a non-trivial expiring contract long before the deadline...there would be SPECULATION!
