Captain Jack says we have 2 Stars, and no alphas.

So essentially he agrees with me.

Thank GOD we have Kuzma and Caruso to close out games.

Went to the game on Tuesday. I was embarrassed by many of our fans, frankly. Nothing wrong with going to a "road" game, but catcalls during the National Anthem is pretty low brow. Booing Kawhi while he address the home fans, pretty poor taste as well. The section I sat in was full of drunken Lakers fans talkig sheet until about the end of the 3rd quarter, when the Clippers pulled away. And they still wouldn't acknowledge the obvious- Clippers team, talented and hungry.

Um no - I was at the game too and this couldn't have been further from the truth. Booing Kawhi is totally fair game no matter what. Sorry - not sure what section you were in but i was in the 100s and I saw more BS from Clippers fans than Lakers fans. #FACTS

Also - I've seen Clippers fans at Lakers games and they talk way more s*** - especially in the last 5 years or so.

CLippers fans have an elitist attitude in terms of their intelligence - they think they're smarter than they actually are.

I dont worry about the other guy's house, just want to take care of my own. Clippers attract a strange mix of fans IMO.

I am a lifelong Lakers fan, but what I saw and heard at that game was really embarrassing. Glad your experience in the 100 section was better than mine, but that doesnt change what I heard and saw in the cheap seats. Low brow behavior coming from fans of the classiest organization in sports.

Fans are fans, Laker fans sheer number dwarf other fanbases so bad behavior will be magnified

Floppers are unfortunately going to win it all barring major injuries .

Their role players are WAY better than ours and they are DEEP .

I don't see a team with the potential to beat them in a 7 game series

so, the clips pound the dubs (reputed playoff team) in their home opener, and they don't even have to play harrell and lou 37 minutes each to do it.

maybe--just maybe--we don't suck and need to fire everyone...but maybe...they're pretty good and have opened the season strong.

IF they make it to the postseason healthy, they'll be trouble. it's a long season, though, and besides injuries, there are trades and waivers and all sorts of things that will change the landscape. think the panic is a bit out of control on day 3 of the season, though.

all we can worry about is being in position to compete at the highest level. after that, we may have to hope for some breaks (like pretty much everyone--who had toronto winning it all last season after their 2nd game? after their 90th game?).

^^^^ I think we are 2 impactful players away ( and no Rondo and KCP on the floor) to be better , we have to get Iggy then another play through trade I guess

I don't panic , I just HATE the early signs ( Bron and AD want to do it their way and I highly doubt Vogel is allowed to coach)

Come on guys, we have like 13 new players and a new coaching staff. We are running a completely new scheme for all these guys, on both sides of the court. You think we were going to walk out the gate a well oiled machine?? I can remember during all our best days that we knew it would take awhile to even integrate a couple of new guys.

On the other hand, the Clippers only had to integrate two players into their team and they have a super stable coaching staff, only integrating Lue. They were bound to win the first game. I will be more interested in our match-ups with all the best teams after the middle of the season. Give us 40 games to learn how to play our schemes and to learn how to play together and then the results will begin to be more meaningful.

And as far as rude Laker fans at the game. You know, the Clippers fans have been rubbing sheet in our faces for awhile now, we have quietly sat back and taken it. On top of it, Kawhi has thrown shade at us. Screw them all, complaining about it kind of strikes me as a weak take.

I don't expect sweet Lou to have as much success the 1st 2 games through out the season. Teams will start trapping him on the pick n roll and force him to be a player maker. They will also put him as a defender on the pick n roll on the other end. His weakness is his defense.

Yeah, clips do a good job hiding him—teams should be able to exploit him like they have his entire career.
