i agree... this is not even a slap on the wrist... for a player with his track record/history, there needs to be some more significant consequence... and especially the nature of it... a hard push to the back like that could have caused a serious injury (not even considering that's the biggest b**** move out there)... im not sure what you do with a clown like beverley who gets off on the fact that he pulls s*** like that and only received a one-game ban... a dbag like that is probably thinking "totally worth it" at this point.

That had to be a minimum of 3-5 games with no pay, in my opinion. What exactly stops people from doing something like this on a regular basis? 1-game suspension is nothing.

Honestly, I'd almost give someone less severe punishment for wanting to fight someone fairly than pushing them in the back like that. That's just a punk move. Maybe if Pat Bev was some frustrated rookie I could see it, but he's 32, he should know better. Screw that.

that's a really good point that hadn't crossed my mind until you brought it up... it's not like he is a youngster who is still in the exponential phase of his learning curve... the guy's been around for a while, and it sets a really bad example for newcomers to the league... one game suspension? don't mind if i do... again, totally worth it from his standpoint... and i totally agree: if he had walked up to him from the front and shoved him like that, i almost don't even bat an eye... you T him up and move things along... i guess it's punishment enough that he's on the glippers, but it sets a pretty bad precedent moving forward imo.

I'm curious, if he shoved him and CP3 re-aggravated his shoulder by landing on it and not bracing himself because he's not expecting a 2 handed shove to the back and missed games in the finals, is that still a 1 game suspension? If it cost CP3 and the Suns a 'ship, is that still a one game?

If that's the precedent for someone with a history of being a dirty POS, then why not everyone sign goons before the next playoffs for their 13th, 14th man and shove the opposition's best player in the back as hard as they can when they're not expecting it. Best case, that player misses games and it only cost your team a 1 game suspension for someone who's not going to play anyway.

i almost feel like he's getting off the hook because their season ended; that and ballmer probably paying everyone off...what if this happened at the end of game 1? i dont know... im not going to spend any more time thinking about this character, and i would love to see someone do this to him next year; although, the league would probably leverage some huge fine/suspension for "retaliation".

the league just need to officiate beverley appropriately, and he'd lose all value and wouldn't be employed. he is NOT a great defender. he's a pest. his feet aren't that quick. he's strong but small. he fouls constantly. just blow the whistle and stop letting his rep keep him in the game.

I did enjoy Luka destroying him and telling the Clips bench he's too small. They had to bring in Rondo for that series and it was funny that even though the Clips won he couldn't talk smack

Of all the punchable faces in the NBA he has made serious progress to now rank up there with the “best” of punchable faces. Props. Better yet …. an elbow from this guy.

Why not sacrifice an end of the bench player and just send him, to knock him the f*** out? Pay him under the table or find him a small commercial deal or something. Im afraid that's the only way to teach Beverly a lesson.

Earlier in the game all the commentators were applauding Beverly's style of play too.
Aggressiveness & Energy is one thing. Recklessness is another.
    Can't stand the guy.

One of the underlining issues in the NBA and MMA is most of the players and fighters look like homeless bums.

Beverley, seriously looks like he hasn't showered or combed his hair in a month. His mouth and BS complete the fact that he is a class A b****.

NBA teams need to figure out a way to tell the players to stop looking like slobs. It does effect the viewership.

Wish I had thier hobo looking money. Not a fan of the unkempt look, but to each his own. Beverly is a front runner. When he is winning he is running his mouth. He resorts to punk tactics when he is losing. I don't care for him like Danny Ainge.

LOL. Beverley definitely. Snake is “groomed” though. Admit it … you just don’t like his face … same as I don’t like Paula’s face.

A 1-game suspension won't even faze him. Pat's got his priorities right now.
