AB will be missed this series. What Dame did that first game after Kobe’s death... Will not be a sweep.

It's not going to be a sweep, no. But, we should win this without too much trouble. Portland is a good team, but not that good. They have absolutely no one who can guard Bron. If we can't beat them, we have no business being called a contender.

It would not be a sweep with any team in NBA who had 41 FT like Portland today

Well presumably it's the same exact schedule, but with none of the TNT games, no?

Yeah not sure that broken back thing is real after what I saw today.
Well unfortunately what most foresaw is true: a very tough first round battle against the surging Blazers. I think this will go at least 6 games. I don’t like our matchups in this one. They don’t play D much sure but most of these games in the bubble are high scoring and we have not looked good in the offense department with abysmal shooting and Anthony Davis having 2 of 8 games with single digit scoring. I’m concerned.
They have size to counter ours and our guard rotation looks horrible against their backcourt.

You guys have been completely demoralized by our struggles in recent years. It's like you forgot what being a Laker fan truly means. Now that we finally have a great team, people seem to fear everything. I'll be honest: I am kinda disappointed.

We're going to advance. No, we're not going to sweep them, so what?

    Love it.

We need to up our game heading into the rockets/clippers games. We need an actual challenge or I’d be worried we wouldn’t be ready for them.

Portland is perfect for round 1 when we aren’t yet up to where we need to be and if we can’t beat them, we don’t deserve a championship anyway

Yes I’ve forgotten what it is to be a Lakers fan. I’ve only been doing it for 40 years but what the F do I know.

What the hell is wrong with voicing concerns when our team has looked like garbage for every game except the Clippers who they barely beat and without Lou Will and Harell. The fact is our guard rotation has been incredibly subpar without Bradley and now we have to face the best backcourt in the bubble. With Trent playing well too! I don’t like the matchup at all. It’s going 6 at least.

I don't think we have a good match up with them, but I feel it's necessary. I don't think we can go from easy win (Grizzlies) to a hard fought, longer series (Houston) and expect to win the way we've been playing. If we had continued playing the way we did before the covid hiatus, once in the bubble, I'd be all for the easy rout with the Griz, because we could just continue to play at a high level though out the playoffs. But as it is, I think we need a team to MAKE us get our s*** together, but still not good enough to actually beat us. Portland is perfect IMO.

Nothing is wrong with that, just like nothing is wrong with me expressing my opinion about it. So what if it's going 6? Better to have a wake-up call early in the playoffs anyway.
