I think the confusion is coming from this being such a late game. It'll be 12 midnight on the East Coast by the time the game rolls around, so to them it'll be Wednesday. Pacific time is 9 PM so Tuesday.
As far as Huertas missing games to take care of immigration stuff, I'd assume he's making the roster for sure or he wouldn't be bothering to miss games for that.
Damn Hawaii games, can't believe I have to wait until 9 PM for this. I realize why, as nobody with a job would be able to attend this game if it were at 7:30 pacific time, but it still sucks.
Meanwhile I'm watching James' Worthy's top 10 Laker moments on the Lakers' channel. Pretty fun, but didn't need a full hour I think. Good time killer though while we wait for this game.
Russell is clearly a gifted passer. He finished with three assists and two turnovers against the Jazz, but some miscues were more about his teammates not expecting the pass than Russell making ill-timed decisions. Randle has put in a lot of work to reshape his body, and that needs to translate to on-court production. He missed eight of 10 shots against Utah, getting seven points and seven rebounds. The Lakers need both to become core players, along with Clarkson, who was one of the NBA's top rookies last season after being drafting 46th overall. Russell and Randle may have 20 games each where they look every bit of what the Lakers hope they will be -- but also pencil in 20 where they're all but invisible. The remainder will be a grab bag of starts and starts as they learn through trial and error, normal for 19- or 20-year old players finding their way in the NBA. http://www.latimes.com/sports/laker...-potential-lot-work-ahead-20151005-story.html Thought that was on point commentary from Pincus...so very true.
