I read that and then started thinking of what 'has been' or 'ex-No. 1' pick who has yet to blossom we don't have on our roster yet...then I stopped and said 'no, lakers are coming back, I can feel it, cause Meta said so.'

Yeah I think it meant "or" instead of "and". We're definitely not getting both, but if we get that top 5 pick we only need the other one. Top 5 pick = Mudiay, then go get Monroe. Top 5 pick= Towns/Okafor, then go get Rondo. Top 5 pick= other, then take whichever one is cheaper (Monroe) and go from there. I LOVE that we're in the conversation for Monroe though. That's exciting. I like him a lot and I think Laker fans would too. No he's not a rim protector, but he does a hell of a lot of other things really well.

Butler is going to get close to max the way he's playing right now. He's starting to turn into one of the best the best 2-way guards in the game.
probably true. if we can't afford butler, afflalo would be a nice consolation since there's drama in Denver.

He's good at getting banged up and we need our money open this summer. I'd rather have Monroe or Rondo or something with no Afflalo than Afflalo without one of those guys.
Jodie Meeks just got like 4.5 million.. 7.5 is a steal for someone that plays D and can get you 20+ a night.
Check your stats he has never avg 20+ a night in his career. He avg 18 ppg with the magic and the next highest was 16 ppg. It's not a terrible contract but hardly a "steal"

I said he CAN get you 20+ a night big guy Youll see what some players get out there this summer then youll see why im saying 7.5 is a steal. Just watch, though it is my personal opinion.
