I'd look at the NBDL and find a potential diamond in the rough who would be willing to sign a 2 year deal where next year is a team option for the minimum. Just look at Dallas with that nice find of Yogi Ferrell.
This team needs a young, outside shooter. Really, Uncle P has been our most consistent 3 baller. We lost Lou and D'Angelo is just starting to pick up his shot back. But outside of that, there is a drop off. I would like to see us pick up some floor spacers with the personnel we have. Not scorers, we have those, shooters.
The nano second I heard the canned Jimmy I gave it an A .......... Thought this should have been done after last year...... I was never a fan of him running the show in the first place. Getting something for Lou was nice....at least some protection against the potential of the lottery balls not falling our way ..... at least they still have a pick now in what is suppose to be a decently deep draft. I know some don't like getting a 2 year contract in return but lets be real here....this rebuild is just starting, that contract is not going to kill us and might even have expiry value as a trade item next year. At least he can still play some in the mean time while filling some of the veteran presence that left in the deal. IMO the rebuild starts now..... which hurts because I feel like a couple of years have been wasted already and they didn't get rid of Jimmy fast enough before he was able to saddle this team with 2 very questionable contracts with no team options tied to it.....uhhh oh well.... at least I see a crack of light now.......
