------------> Need some more pictures of Zubac. Limited selection so far. The only Zubac stuff I have so far is: Only so much you can do with this:
Not too exciting of a game, so added several more to the collection in the last 48 hours. The starting picture means everything when making a GIF from a still photo, so if you ever find a pic you think would make a great one, let me know. Trying to work in more of the new guys, but I had some old Kobe/Shaq ones I still wanted to finish once I had time.
Sorry if you have been asked this before Sirron, but do you have a place online that we can bookmark or something to use all of these and all the ones you done in the past. There is so much potential in these and all the ones you've done in the past for posts we make
You mean, like the web address in my sig? The custom stuff is hosted at www.lakergifs.com because I needed a searchable format once I had too many for a couple pages worth. Adding new stuff there all the time as I'm inspired and have time. Other forum emoticons can be found at www.lefteyebrow.com including the old CL smileys. I may migrate those over to lakergifs, but haven't decided yet. Everything is in a mobile friendly format that allows you to click on a picture to easily get the direct url for easy posting. You'll notice that the custom LB smileys we have here only exist on this site, so that lakergif.com is just for overflow. Before the offseason is up, Barnstable plans on updating a few on the site and probably removing a few. Like Boron They will then be removed from the site and hosted here. LB gets first dibs on all work. Plus, we'll regularly have player turnover annually that will inspire retiring of old smileys and ideas for new ones. Ex: The Byron ones on the site :Headpoint: Could potentially be replaced by:
BTW, major props to Barnstable for the idea to make an entire set of custom Laker smileys. He is really the inspiration. When the site first moved before the CL crash, the smiley pack seemed really bland. For years we'd been using the same emoticons to express ourselves, and the new ones seemed less expressive. I set about finding the originals across the web, and found way more than I knew existed. Check out this collection. However, as a way to help make LB unique, Barns didn't want to use the old ones. He started making new custom Laker smilies, and they were awesome. He gave me the green light to try to make a few more since his schedule was tight, and with some of his coaching, some turned out pretty decent. Now I can't stop! Many of the old ones were actually used for animation templates of our new ones. I'll post some because it's pretty fun to look back on now.
Some of these will bring back memories. We tried to capture all of the major emotions we used with smilies, and then we've added some based on the personality of our board. After making a few, it gets easier to see potential from a short video clip, GIF, or still photo. Always open to requests and ideas. That's how some of these got made! :Randallconfused: :Nashstars: :Headbang: :Headpoint: Spoiler: Other inspired smilies - non original CL Not a complete list, but these show a few more smilies side by side with similar animated smileys that existed whether or not used by our forum previously. :Mitchthumbs: :boom:
Great stuff sirron! The happiest Laker as a result of all of this creativity I'm sure is going to be Tarik.
