It would also be great if Ham could get into Lebron and AD faces, and tell them that they need to find new trainers or something, so that their a**** could show up for work this season!!!!

Lebron's is due to old age which is inevitable. He has one of the best training regiments in the world. Guys his age are normally out of the league or way more diminished than he is.

AD possibly, but he had bad luck with his two big injuries this year.

Might as well try someone new and have some hope than an old retread doomed to fail. Lebron is going to do what he wants regardless.

Ham is 6-7, so at least he can be face to face if that happens. I'm afraid of the new era coaches can't set the tone early or players will get butt hurt and turn on him quick, Ham will probably have to persevere and earn their respect. The players run the league now unfortunately.

Lebron is playing better than any of the record holders, he's just getting injured more frequently now. Nothing in how he plays shows a lack of training so the injuries are just something you have to pray don't happen

Lebron 37 years old 56 games played
    30.3pts 8.2reb 6.2asst 1.1blk 1.3stl

Kareem 37 years old 79 games played
    22pts 7.9 reb 3.2 asst 2.1blk 0.8stl

Karl Malone 37 years of age 81 games played
    23.2pts 8.3reb 4.5asst 0.8blk 1.1stl

Michael Jordan 38 years old (retired while 37) 60 games played
    22.9 pts 5.7reb 5.2asst 0.4blk 1.4stl

so wild that malone and kareem were playing nearly full seasons at that age and usage. this isn't kevin willis playing every third game for 5 minutes when he's 40.

Points scored doesn't equate to better play. Kareem was a much more impactful player at Lebron's age. He still played defense and did what the team needed. He wasn't just out there chasing scoring records. Some of the other comparisons may hold up but comparing Lebron to the GOAT's professionalism and team first attitude would be an embarrassment to Lebron. Number of games played is also huge.

So true. Malone was an Ironman and Kareem kept his longevity with help from yoga and his martial arts training. There’s a reason these two are at the top of the all time scoring records along with Lebron.

malone limiting prime KG and duncan in the playoffs at age 40 while playing on one leg is still amazing to think about. they don't make them like that anymore

His work against Yao, KG, and TD could be used as a master class. One of my favorite parts of that season was Malone's playoff domination and I hated him before he joined the Lakers and earned my support until after that season when the stuff with Vanessa came out. So while it was short lived, he was my second favorite Laker that year.

The thing that worries me is that Cap and Malone both played in more games at 37, then AD has in the last two seasons. Anthony is in his prime, that's a big problem. I like AD but if it's a similar situation this season, he has to be moved.

So who out there that is realistically available that the Lakers haven't interviewed and is better than the current 3 finalists.

I don't get it. There's plenty of things to criticize this team about, but this just seems like unnecessary dogpiling/bashing.

if AD misses another half season, he won't be movable. that's ok, i'd rather gamble on a top-10 28 year old two-way player being healthy than sell low right now.

I'm pulling for Anthony this season. It would be catastrophic for us if he only played another half a season. I get your point about not entertaining trade offers for him this season, but if this happens again this campaign? I think we should look to cut our losses and go in a different direction. Lebron will be 39 during the 2023 season.

lebron's done as a #1 superstar, imo, so moving AD to try and maximize an elderly lebron doesn't make sense to me. AD is the only guy on the roster capable of being the best player on a title team, and i think we just have to ride it out. if he's mr. glass, we're screwed. but we're not going to improve by moving him now or next year after another injury.

That’s why we should move Lebron.

we won’t, but we should IMHO.

keep WB, trade him at the deadline. Restock picks and young talent. Quick rebuild for your new coach.
