If Lakers want to get another PG, then sign Will Bynum, Peyton Siva or maybe Delonte West.

After tonight, if we find another PG that sparks our interest, grab him. Lin is to inconsistent, Price is all heart, but he sucks, and Kobe doing the initiating just isn't going to work. Find a PG Mitch, please.

Yeah what's the deal with this after both Nash and Randle out for the year....why should we have to cut anyone to add a player?

We should get another slot for Nash, too. He's not playing. What's up?

Mekel is better PG than all of them. Better player may be debatable, better PG is not.

They aren't going to cut Wes, 100%.. It'll be Ellington or Price.. I'm pretty sure Ellington wouldn't have made the roster at all if he wasn't injured when it was time to make final cuts.. They only didn't cut him because they weren't allowed to. Can we cut Nash though? He's already said he's retiring I don't see why they'd make us keep him on the roster.

You don't gain extra roster spots with those DPE's. Nash and Randle still count towards a roster slot.

There isn't an IR in the NBA, although there should be for season ending injuries.

I'm from israel, knows this guy really well.
suggest watching the video to see some of his abilities.
he's a great passer and a really hard worker. he just looks to show a team in the NBA his potential, something he didn't get enough with Dallas as they were full of PG.
Mark Cuban once mentioned him as the israeli Nash :)

i've seen mekel quite a bit. he's slow-footed on d, but works at it and is smart. he's a poor shooter, but a clever passer and finisher. is he better than price? maybe, but maybe not by enough to rock the boat.

I thought it was essentially the same thing with season-ending injuries, no? So if a guy goes down with a season-ending injury and we get a DPE, we STILL need to unload a roster spot to pick someone up? That doesn't really make any sense.

No bleep, I agree. What if you have 3 or 4 or 5? Lakers seem to work on that kind of bad luck.

Man, that sucks. Didn't know that there was no spot open even with a guy (or two in our case) out the entire year. That's pretty messed up. Well, maybe we should cut Price if this guy turns out better. We don't qualify for Hardship either because we only have three out not four including Kelly.

Yeah I see Price, Ellington, and Henry all being on the cutting block. Honestly it looks like Xavier needs the time to recover anyway. He does not look like the same guy. I'd cut him and let him work himself back into shape in the D-League.

Price is a nice veteran piece, but it's not really what we need right now. I'd take Mekel over him.

Ellington is an interesting case. He was awful in camp and pre-season, but he carved out a decent niche before his family troubles.

Ellington is a shooter. I'd really hate to lose him when we could drop Henry or Price.

Well if he comes back and plays well he might make the cut. We've just to remember he's "streaky" right now. He was dreadful through the pre-season. He was pretty good through the regular season.

If he comes back playing well, he'll stick around and either Mekel or Miller will take his spot.

I'm really starting to get hopeful on Mekel. I like Price a lot and I know the guys on the team do too, but Mekel is simply a better player. Not to mention he's younger and has room to grow.
