The scouting studs work their a**es off all year and these all each year are the chosen ones (a lot) to look at. No wonder they're doing well. They also grew up talking and working with Ryan West who was family tutored for talent spotting by the best in the business at that time.
Twitter info dump on the participants in yesterday's work Cole Very little on Twitter on Cole. He's a scoring guard. Looks a little Kemba-y Bernard
mccormack basically won them the title on backdowns in the post, right? but he's basically old dwight with a young man's face, right? never seen him make a good pass or make a defensive play that involved moving. worth a camp invite if we just want to employ some muscle at the end of the bench, but i don't see how he's even as good as bob sacre.
I would love for the Lakers to sign Pippen Jr just out of the hope he’s somewhat like his dad athletically
I predict the Lakers will sign 3 undrafted FA's this year after picking up some talent that didn't squeeze into the NBA Draft.
There are similarities with how many teams run the workouts, but L.A.’s stood out in certain ways. “One thing that stood out today is they emphasized the way we guarded the ball screen,” Richardson explained. “We iced on the side, then we sent weak or to the left (on) middle ball screens. That was interesting right there.” I think the Bucks were the most diverse team when it came to defending pick in roll situations. Per Cranjis Could be a sign of what we're looking for in the draft and FA. Guys that can have versatility so we could switch up looks defensively. Darvin is reportedly a defensive guy and ran the Bucks defense. Just FYI.
i've come to really appreciate the combination of size and hoop iq. i feel like if you're big enough and smart enough, there are spots for you in the league. athleticism is obviously great, but i'd sacrifice that for the other two if i'm having to make choices. where we're looking, you can probably only get two out of three (and i'll take any two, to be clear--ellis seems to have the size and athleticism) and that's max. anyway, that's why nembhard intrested me before he shot up the draft board. the guy from loyola chicago and the roddy beaubois guy also look interesting for us. but you're right that we ideally need someone of legit wing size (or bigger). anyone seen that baldwin guy? is he not kuz 2.0? felt like i was watching a body double in the clips.
