    I can actually see his point but I question how well suited to the modern NBA he is. Teams are often going to have to trade for stars, or sign FA's if they want to compete at the highest level. The days of constantly building from scratch are kind of history. Sure it will happen from time to time, with luck of the draw, but in the end even the teams that are lucky enough to have all their stars align to grow organically, they will still likely have to go out and ad a star to make it work.

    Man, I can't wait for the season to start. When healthy, Lebron is still the best player in the league. No one else can dictate the pace of a game in the Finals like Lebron can. Dude is still 34 and have shown no signs of slowing down when healthy.

    I will say this. I have seen Jason Whitlock in non-sports related settings where he just talks about life and he is pretty damn smart and insightful. I don't agree with him on everything, but he certainly isn't the dunderhead he plays on this show. He plays a character on TV. Yes, it's a crappy character, but it's not really him. I had pretty long conversation with a prominent sports writer that was on Around the Horn often. They have words they say into their ear that essentially give them instructions on which side to take in the argument. IF someone is taking one side, the producer will tell the next guy in their ear "conflict" or something like that. He said it was all bogus.
