so LeBron did try to go through private channels to talk to you and you went on your show and ripped him again. So this time he came to you man to man and made sure everyone could see.

Let's just be honest here: Bronny isn't NBA-ready or NBA-talent. Maybe he will be in the future but he didn't have a college career and instantly went into the NBA because of LeBron.

It's fair for people to call Bronny out on that and also fair for LeBron to feel he has to defend his son.

But Bronny is a grown man... Once LeBron personally vouched for his son saying Bronny is better than some players in the NBA, he put that target on Bronny. If LeBron wanted Bronny to actually earn his spot, he wouldn't even be in the NBA.

In regards to SAS sounding hypocritical, this seemed like one of those instances where LeBron felt he personally had to communicate with SAS in public to put SAS on the spot so it doesn't exactly refute that SAS wasn't contacted by Bron's team privately.

 

None of what you said is accurate. As puffy mentioned earlier the fact Bronny has dominated at the G League level shows he has NBA talent the notion that he can’t play or shouldn’t be in the league is complete and utter nonsense. If it weren’t for the situation with his heart Bronny would’ve likely been drafted a lot higher.

 

The jury is out on whether Bronny is an NBA player, but he's having a great season in the G League. You'd be hard pressed to find a rookie having better numbers in the G League and it's not like any of the rookie 1st rounders that are sticking with their big league teams are having a season to write home about.

If we disregard draft status and name, I think Bronny's performance in South Bay would probably be viewed as a 1st round talent.

You guys seriously see two clips of him and think he's out here dominating.

That has nothing to do with whether he should have been drafted in 2024 or not. Based on his play, including his health condition, he was not an NBA-ready player.

Check the filter. G League stat page defaults to the Tip Off Tournament. Change it to regular season and you’ll find 22/5/5. Basketball reference shows that as well.

The first 2 sentences in my original post (1) clearly said the jury is out on whether he becomes an NBA player and (2) compared Bronny to rookies. Take a look at that list of the top 20 scorers. How many are under the age of 22? One, and that guy is 2 months away from his 22nd birthday. Many of those guys are in their mid-20s and trying to break [back] into the league.

22/5/5, on 44% and 40% from 3, with 2 spg. Going by G League regular season performance for a 20 year old and ignoring who his father is, there's reason to give him a shot at becoming a role player.

 

Do you hear yourself? Don’t know where you got your numbers from, but Bronny is averaging 22, 5, 5, and shooting 44 percent from the field. Considering he has hardly gotten much time in his first season and had the open heart surgery leading to missing a lot of valuable development time that is pretty impressive time. There have been plenty of players who have gone to the G League developed and turned into quality players why shouldn’t Bronny been given a shot? People act like he was a first round pick when he was a late second round pick who has clearly shown he has tools to develop into at the very least a good role player down the line based off his G-League success. You make it seem like just anyone can score in the G-League and that’s just false a lot of these guys still make it to the NBA many of which end up getting minutes. There are not just random guys he’s going up against at the YMCA.

 

Everything you posted is simply opinion miraged as fact. To answer your simplistic question if Bronny wasn't Bron's kid yes he would of gotten drafted. The kid plays defense, is quick and has decent handles, size and can get into the paint.

Now we can all be hypothetical or speculative: If he wasn't Bron's kid he may have been able to develop more out of dads shadow. No one really knows for a fact. What we do know is that the kid works hard at his game and has shown some serious flashes in G-League.

The only reason people are knocking that is because his father is named LEBRON JAMES. All of a sudden G-Legue don't count? Thats simple crap. If he was Jack Smith playing for our G League team we fans would be saying the kid needs a shot especially with the PG play we had early on.

Take off the blinders and nonsensical hate and see this kid is driven to be better. He plays smart, he works his a** off and is a great teammate. He compares to any of the other kids drafted with him. He is part of the bottom 4 of our team and has promise. What more can we ask for?

As far as I can tell is that Lebron spoke to him and left it at that. It is SAD who is milking it on all the ESPN shows cause he is a Fn clown

 

The father in me agrees 100% with Lebron. Stephen A’s “he could’ve talked to me in private” is BS. If you can publicly criticize Bronny in front of millions, be prepared for Lebron to publicly confront you on it.
What’s understood doesn’t have to be said. We all know Bronny isnt NBA ready right now. But considering what the kid has had to come back from with the heart issues I would’ve given him some grace and let it go if I had Stephen A’s platform.
