Bronnie ain't going to Philly. With Covington's extension, Philly is looking at $75M in salary next summer. They can rescind Stauskas's QO to get to $70M in committed salary, but that puts them at a max of $30M in cap space (LaBron can get a max of $36M). The most likely thing is they keep Stauskas and have only the 25% max at their disposal. Bron ain't going to sacrifice $10M for that team. We all know Bronnie likes to buddy up, so unless Philly is looking at moving Fultz in a deal, he's not going there for a discount.
i'm not saying he's going to philly, but didn't you just help create the plausible scenario? rescind stauskas, sign lebron, trade fultz and something for a veteran star.
Honestly, 5 Lebrons would win the NBA championship every single year. So even if he is a clone, I think those two will easily play off each other. But I don't think he's going to Philly. The only reason I think there is a slim chance is he can stay out in the East where he'll only have to win one playoff series to get to the Finals.
Haha...goddammit. I did, didn't I? Seriously tho, I just don't see it cause with a trade partner you're somewhat limited..and that will be the only way Philly can get Bron a fellow star. LA will have the option to give Bron the partner of his choice this coming free agency. LA is already talking like they have 2 max spots available when they really don't, so that makes me think that Rob already has something lined up. But even as is, they're looking at $47M in cap space and by stretching Deng and doing nothing else they open up $58M....and we'll still have the option to add a 3rd via our crop of young talent (but I hope it doesn't come to that). Bron to Philly makes alot of sense and that keeps him in the East for an easier ride to the Finals...but we know its all about ego for that guy. If he wants to solidify a legacy, then coming in to help the Lakers back to the top is a much better narrative then going to Philly, whose franchise/brand doesn't have that type of luster.
That would make things interesting. Bayless is an 8.5 million dollar expiring deal next season. Fultz is 8.3. Dump those two with another couple small fillers and you might be able to bring back a really good player to put around Saric, Embiid, Simmons and LBJ.
M Night Shyamalan plot twist. What if all this hate and the website was Sirron's anti-jink to send Lebron to the Lakers, and like Lebron he secretly has a Lebron shrine in his Batcave?
