Yes, you are the one who constantly brings AD into a conversation about others or bring others to a conversation about AD, especially in the past weeks

This is fantastic! Of course. WB for Steph. Straight up. Because you can tell from Steph's response that he wants nothing more in his career than to play alongside LBJ. Get this deal done!

Laker play has fans at each other for all the wrong reasons

Eff this season and push the big reset button for next year. Next year is a whole new team most likely.

Can we put to rest the notion that Lebron was strategically ducking certain games to maximize his chance at the scoring record?

After the initial ankle injury (which looked pretty bad and had me thinking he would need at least a few weeks off) he sat out only 2 games and then came back to gut it out against the Pelicans. That was really the most winnable “must win” game that could have kept us in play-in contention. Yes he put up 38 points, but by the end it was clear that he was debilitated and had no explosion or lift.

Seems some were actually holding that against him. If he could put up 38 against the Pelicans, surely his ankle was fine and he should have gutted it out in the following games too, right? Naw, I think he rushed back too early for that Pelicans game and forcing up 38 points in 39 minutes on a bum ankle likely exacerbated the injury and put his recovery a step back. And once we lost to the Pelicans, although we weren’t mathematically eliminated yet, everyone knew that was the nail in the coffin.

i looked back at my comments, and i just said that if he played again to win the scoring title, i'd be mad. he didn't, so i'm not.

I’m glad that we avoided a complete 2012 redo. Smart to shut down Lebron and AD for the last games when they clearly aren’t right. I agree with you all the way re: that Pelicans game HJ. That was our last gasp chance and we couldn’t get it done. Nail in the coffin for the season. Get healthy and try to remain so next year.

I wonder if things don’t go right for LeBron, again, at the beginning of next season if he’s going to half-a$$ games again.

honestly, i'm not at all worried. he'll come ready, and if things go south, he'll broker his own trade out of here to a contender. and rob will bleed them for the opportunity, imo.

In the last 2 games, fans wont have a chance to see Lebron play. Some in that arena will likely only be at one NBA game their whole life, and now, they will never see one of the icons of the game. That's what gets missed. That is what made Kobe and Michael Jordan, and Magic, Kareem and Larry Bird who they were. They were there every game and they played like it mattered even if it didn't.

At what cost though: I know for Bird him coming back from the back injury probably ended his career prematurely.

Medicine and technology has advanced 10 fold. Even still, Kareem played 20 years didnt miss many games, Karl Malone played 19 years, didnt miss many games. John Stockton played 19 years, barely missed games. Robert Parish, etc.

Part of medicine is that rest is really really helpful for these old guys. I don't think any of those players would have been played after rolling their ankle like Lebron did either

Let’s finish the story: Then two seasons after they put together a Championship Team, LeBron played a HUGE part in blowing it all up by forcing the worst Laker trade in their entire existence.
When reporting the facts, it’s necessary to type all of them, not just the ones that support a narrative.

Meh..Lebron and AD did more damage by not playing than anything. The main thing needs to stay the main thing, worst trade in history whatever, that's a deflection from the real story. We sucked without them last season too.

It is amazing how much more fun basketball is to watch without one guy dribbling the ball for twenty seconds and launching up thirty foot threes. Who would have thought...
