@OX1947 Agreed on all points. You have to give credit to Bron on his playmaking though when it comes to being a basketball player. We know Kobe CAN facilitate like LeBron, he just rarely chose to do so in his career. And Kobe was highly successful playing that way.

Part of being a good basketball player is also what you're physically gifted with. Kobe had unreal athleticism and could play through unbearable pain. Jordan as you mentioned had the hands. These factors go into the equation and don't detract from those players when making head-to-head comparisons.

The objective things that detract from LebRon's case are that he simply is not as skilled a basketball player, he is not defensively elite, he had significantly better teammates than any other recent great, he succeeded in a remarkably weak era of the Eastern Conference, and rings.

Pretty much agree on this. Jordan and Kobe are the two most gifted basketball players of all time, IMHO. I actually think Lebron is better compared to Magic than Kobe. He is not nearly as dominant an offensive force as MJ or Kobe but he is probably a better facilitator than either of them. I honestly get tired of all the comparisons because most people have no historical perspective because to them, Kobe is the oldest player they have ever seen play. To really understand how good anyone really is, you need to have watched the game for a couple of decades or more. In my mind, I don't think I will ever think Lebron is as talented a player as Kobe, but I will think he is an excellent player who really knows how to run and offense. Not sure where I think he ranks in the all-time list but I respect him and am super glad he is on the Lakers now.

I tell you what... these stupid-a** threes (and even long 2s) will be the death of me.

Appreciate the dimes, boards, staying interested defensively but damn he must've left his offense in Dallas. Those Js looked awful.

What I don't get why he didn't try some easier shots to get into a flow and that might help his get some of those F it shots to fall. It's basketball 101 and he waved off any such notion. We were in the driver's seat most of the night, so maybe he didn't find it necessary. Just find it again before your the Heat come to Staples. No offense Chicago.

We have to watch his mins.

We have Chicago then we have two days off, so I hope that helps.

He can't be asked to do what he's doing on both ends all year; at some point, those areas will becomes less efficient as the season progresses or he will break down.

I hope Frank uses that "common sense..."

the team can't do anything good w/o him on the floor, which is rather shocking considering who the 2nd guy is

We're not good (yet?) at getting him the ball and involving him without Bron feeding him and setting him up.

Hopefully Rondo who he has good chemistry with can get back and alleviate that issue.

And I thought only Westbrook could turn triple double into a useless stat, well LBJ is not far off too.

But what about the good folks in HK, Bron? ...cause you know, it's your problem.

That's the opposite of an empty triple double. He didn't shoot the ball well but Lebron's game has always been his ability to contribute in multiple ways

I expect once Kuz gets back to game shape, we'll able to manage his in game load a little better. And once chemistry gets better, we'll be able to put teams away earlier and he'll be able to take the 4th off.

He's a volume scorer thats for sure but I remember last year he was a better passer. He was setting McGee up a lot with his drives.

Hard to really question the guy, not like any of us could actually do better but I did find myself saying, "go get a layup Lebron"!!!! He knew he had a bad game but still did some of the things needed to win the game and he did have a triple double. All great players have bad games, the key is to still do the little things that can help you be a positive force on the floor and help your team win. He did that, even when he sucked.

I'd say rest him against Chicago tomorrow - let Kuzma get some reps in.
