    It's a media ploy for lots of free advertising. From a business perspective it's genius for any company that would never be approved to launch a campaign saying they were interested. They probably got 10 million of free advertising.

    Before this, I had no idea who they even were.

    it's like henry abbott saying kobe was the 27th best shooting guard in the 2003-4 season.

    Skip is probably not that far off, unfortunately.

    Here are 8 players (in no particular order) I could see taking before Bron this upcoming season even on the Lakers
    (so... it takes natural progression/decline into considerations) and could see having a better season (criteria may be somewhat vague, of course):

    1. Freak
    2. Jokic
    3. Haren (and it pains me..., but they play nearly the same level of defense nowadays)
    4. Embiid
    5. Doncic
    6. AD (like, I'd rather have 2 ADs than AD + LeBron)
    7. Gobert
    8. Dame

    Fringe (health etc...):

    1. Kawhi
    2. PG
    3. Porzingis
    4. Curry
    5. Simmons

    Some of these are debatable, but let's not pretend placing Bron @ 11 is some outrageous claim. He might as well be #1, but based on last season and going the wrong direction career-wise, it's not likely. It's much more likely, however, that he'll decline some more...

    Giannis is not #1, because he got taken out of the game.
    Kawhi is not #2, because he is not a closer.
    LeBron is not #3, but he is better than Westbrook, so he's the 11th best player in the league.

    The best player in the league is Embiid.

    How the h*ll are they going to audit teams? Are they going to require all team personnel and players to turn over their text, email and phone records? That will go over like a lead balloon.
