nope, cause Dame wants stars to play with him too and he'll realize in a few yrs he'll be in similar hole James/AD/etc. was in. If he dont want to team up with stars than why was he begging for PG to put Portland on his list when PG was asking out of Indy? I also think he might have asked Por mgmt. to look into the AD sweep stakes too.

If I could choose any player I wanted to join the Lakers, Lillard would be No. 2 on my list right after Giannis. Absolutely love his game and have for a long time.

i agree that "the decision" was pretty weak/non-competitive and ushered in a problematic era. i actually think the nba's response in the current cba did a lot to counteract that kind of stuff (see the C Bags not being able to trade for davis a couple weeks ago), but once that genie's out of the bottle...

the gs thing was a fluke due to the cap rising so much in one year. but the general idea of teaming up wouldn't have been as cool had the fans and media not forgiven lebron/wade/bosh for the heatles s***. i mean, with all the outrage at the time, very few folks seem to care anymore, so...if you're a player right now, why wouldn't you do this?

lillard's just sour because nobody wants to play in portland. he'd team up in a heartbeat, imo. and that's ok, to an extent. i'm fine with davis wanting out of NO and into a place with another bona fide star. i was fine with kg wanting out of minny, too. i wasn't fine with three guys conspiring to join up for a couple years, dragging everyone through the FA process already knowing that's what they were going to do.

ok dis is effective so far, but he gots to get in the post. He's too big and able to be shooting from halfcourt makes no sense

Broussard, you forgot Lord Elgin—definitely belongs in that group, but didn’t win any rings. The greatest Laker who doesn’t have a ring.

This might be the inner Kobe stan in me coming out, but I think I’m realizing that Lebron isn’t really skilled enough in the post to make that his bread and butter as he ages. Theoretically for someone his size it’s so logical that he should embrace the post game more at this point in his career ... but he hasn’t, and I don’t really expect to see it happen.

He’s not particularly crafty. He still only has a few moves in the post, and they’re entirely based on him using his strength/athleticism.

But in a twist of irony, I’m actually confident in his long range threes. I used to always bag on him early in his career for lacking a shot, but for whatever reason I now expect him to make ridiculously long clutch threes for us when it matters most.

James can still be effective in the post given his size and strength, but he opts to play on the perimeter more because of the exertion required for him to muscle for position against larger players. IIRC, Kobe specifically called him out for this in a detail episode during last years playoffs. No team wants to let LeBron get to the basket, so he's option for more long range shots, and he has vastly improved on that front compared to his earlier years.

If anything, we're likely to continue to see him play more of a perimeter game as a point guard and facilitator, than have him become a post player. At least with this current roster and offense. I agree though, the smarter move would be to have the ball movement and schemes designed to get James easy post entries where he can FEAST, but we need the spacing to do that. He had that in Cleveland, but not here. Adding Davis may only complicate that aspect further.

If only he’d flipped the switch, or in his words his playoff intensity had been “activated”, BEFORE the Hawks game. You know, a completely winnable game we will regret losing come the final week of the season.

Bron became very good in the post for some seasons .

He said he doesn't like playing down low though .

The way he's shooting deep 3's with little lift like a grandpa is a way to save major energy .

Let's see if he still can dominate games physically for a long stretch

very curious about tonight's game. houston is at full capacity and looking to move up in the standings. lebron's looking to make a point. if this were two years ago, i'd be confident lebron obliterates, single-handedly if necessary. this year, not so sure.

    that atlanta game was disheartening.

    Nike issued a statement:
Nike, the issue is you can't put a grown man in heels. (S/o to @shoe haha)

Grown women are even saying Zion shouldn't wear heels haha...

Dude probably would wear Brons but then when he signs to Klutch, the whole damn league would cry foul and you can't have that type of smoke with March Madness coming up.

Zion is built like Shaq in 1992 but 4 inches shorter. Lebron has chicken legs. I never understood why there was this myth Lebron was 270. 250 tops, likely 240, thats it.

Haynes is close to Klutch/Rich Paul so it's worth the listen...

    Intriguing key points:
    - if the dubs get cute and don't have a max offer already on the table waiting for Klay till the July 1st alarm clock rings, watch out for the Lakers to swoop in.

    - if Haynes had to pick one team where AD starts next season with...it's the Lakers.

    - Lakers didn't leak trade proposal for AD and Haynes finds no fault in how the Lakers operated in trying to trade for AD in good faith.

    - it was floated to him how Ky was leaning away from re-upping in Boston and Ky pretty much confirmed his report when he made the comments in NY at the trade deadline

    - brings up the hypocrisy of tampering ie Bron recruiting AD via them two going to dinner in Dec is a realistic option so the league cries tampering vs Giannis talking to AD about coming to play for the Bucks isn't a realistic option (although they made AD's list) so no one cried for player tampering when that happened.
