Basically, you let him do what he does best and get him a Lillard.

I think that's true, but I was hoping my impression of him before coming to the Lakers was wrong, and there was more dog in him than I thought... I was not wrong it seems... so far.

My only hope is that he really is able to kick into another gear down the stretch of the season and playoffs.

Take us home Bron. This is what I was waiting for. Don't like how we relinquished the lead in the 4th, but LBJ took control from about 4 minutes in, big buckets and a COLD block on Nurkic. Really bad call on McGee which almost took momentum from us, but that was the stop to end the game.

My spidey senses say that LBJ went into this game thinking "we're not losing tonight". He tossed the ball up after the buzzer like F this place.

Lebron is slowing getting into shape and trying to involve his teammates .

I agree he should say "f*** it" at times and just take over though ( it already cost us a couple of games)...

We'll see it later in the season but it's tough to do it even for Lebron with such poor spacing.....

Man you viewed the end of that game through a different lens than I did. I saw way too many mistakes down the stretch.

A lot of good, but also a lot of bad from him tonight. Turnovers a guy at this stage shouldn’t make, zero defensive effort some plays, awful deep threes. But, we don’t win without him, plain and simple. He had a stretch in the 2nd quarter I believe (may have been the 3rd though) where he absolutely took over. Layups, a 3, great assists for easy baskets. That’s my biggest complaint with him, he’s not playing at the level he’s capable of for longer stretches, he’s supposed to be the best player in the league. I hate to keep bringing Kobe up, but I guess that’s what I’m used to, near 100% effort and playing with all heart the entire game. But, 8 straight Finals, plus Olympics, dude’s body is older than his age, so at the same time I get it. We just have to hope this level of LeBron can get us to the playoffs and then he can flip the switch more often.

What the flying f*** Zen? He came. He's here. We are in an infinitely better position because of it rather than being stiffed by all key free agents once again. Is he perfect, was he ever perfect, was he ever Kobe ..... NO. What is it you'd like to accomplish with the non stop hate for him and Luke around here?

So, let me get this straight... I'm suppose to not comment on his many many blanders? So as to not have it considered "hate"?

My dislike for the guy is well documented, so I don't know would you expect me to react when he reinforces literally every single concern I had before he joined?

Also, what you quoted was nowhere near hate, it was a rebuttal, with actual examples, on why he didn't, in fact, have a great game or brought us home in the 4th.

I didn't say anything hatefull about Puke tonight (may be in the game day)

Just my carry over from Game Day where you froth at the keyboard every night against those 2. Hey you have explained your passion so whatever. Just not sure what kind of reaction from rest of us you want to get in return when it is so constant. Would you have preferred he not signed here and the cap space was still waiting for the first big name?

I try to confine it to the game day. Isn't what it is for? Some emotions with fellow Lakers fans?

But here I'm trying to be reasonable... Also LOL @ people blocking me. That's new, but whatever...

@Barnstable LBJ had many lapses, some are personal and other breakdowns were team related too. The team and LBJ are till learning how to close games. This is potentially one we would have lost if this was a week ago. Personally, the "clutch" stuff is/was concerning to me for LBJ. Not happy we gave up a big lead. But we saved a W and broke a streak @ Portland... Rondo got us there and LBJ put it away with 5 mins to go.

This is how I saw it too. I was honestly surprised to come in here and see some static. I thought LeBron did what we brought him here to do. Was it perfect? No, but it was definitely what we needed for the win.

I was a little worried about his body language after giving up the big lead but he came up big when we needed some scoring.

I think Lebron would be averaging 15 assists a game if our guys could shoot.

He does an amazing job staying upbeat and leading the team in spite of all of the ineptitude around him in the form of players and coaches and refs. I’d have totally lost my s*** by now and blown up on somebody.

    Saint LeBron.

With his own share of mistakes and no defense moments. He's not this infallible player you only seem to see. Just sayin'.

Overall, I was fine with LeBrons game and he certainly made several key plays to get us the win. I expected Portland to come back so that really didn’t shock me and I certainly wouldn’t put that all on LeBron. He made some mistakes here and there but the good outweighed the bad to me and most importantly we won.

I think he’s slowly finding his groove with this team. You can see the progression in my opinion. I think the mistakes will largely be ironed out relatively soon and the team will truly take off.

I bet it would be fascinating to watch a Laker game with you. It’s like we’d be watching two different games at the same time on a single TV
