I've had a bad feeling from the get go regarding LBJ. I never truly understood why everyone was acting like him signing with us was a formality.

I really hope I'm wrong.

 

I don’t buy it.

It’s never a guarantee these dudes actually want to come here unless they actually come here, so while it sucks George didn’t come, I can’t really get mad at him. He hit it off with Russ and that’s cool. I wanted him to come, but I know players just use us as leverage like always and nothing ever comes of it.

But anyway let’s say it is true...

How is not wanting to play with Lebron weak? PG, KD, and Harden don’t want to play with Lebron. Rookie Donovan Mitchell doesn’t want to play with Lebron, he said he wants to beat Lebron. How does this make these players weak?

And how in the world is Lebron gonna say that about anyone else when it rings true for him. He doesn’t want to compete, he wants things to be easy for him, so really??

I feel like the more time passes the less likely Lebron is to come to LA.

 

But we’re not “desperate” or at least shouldn’t be “desperate” to be very good.

I have zero confidence in the Lakers bringing anyone of significance in. Zero. They have become a joke. Lakers need to get rid of that soiled dish rag of a Loul Deng and just run with the guys they have. And hope the China doll at point guard doesn't get hurt walking to practice every other game.

PG, I’m disappointed, not in your decision, but your professionalism. It’s going to be easy to hate on OKC this year. Westy putting up 40 shots a game, Carmelo getting hot from 3 for a quarter once every 8 games, and PG getting lost in the shuffle. Looking forward to it!
