Lebron should get a statue simply because of his overall legacy in the league. Dude has 4 rings already. We all love Kobe, we all love Magic but come on, when you start denigrating talent like Lebron's simply because you don't like him as a human being, ............ I don't know man. I won't do that. Personally, his political comments really turn me off and I do not see eye to eye with most of his takes. He is still a great player who has had an incredible career. There are not many players on his level who have accomplished what he has. Statue? F yeah, why not. Open your mind, don't be small!!

 

Sure, then place that statue in Cleveland or Miami. That’s where it belongs. It has nothing to do with whether or not we like him as a person- it’s disrespectful to others who spent twice as much time as a Laker and contributed to more Championships. He’s an all time great- just not an all time Laker great. Not until he wins a couple more Chips here. I think that is totally reasonable.

 

statue in cleveland makes a lot of sense to me. played some of his best years there, got them their only ring, is from nearby. not sure a statue in la or miami makes sense, even if he gets another ring here. though i reserve the right to ecstatically change my mind at that point.

 

Personally, I think it is a team game and don't care anything about statues but if you start throwing up too many, they all lose their significance. If we put up a statue of Lebron based on what he has done for the Lakers, you have to start looking back through the championship runs and we got an entire parking lot full of statues.
