LABron James Discussion: Triple Triple Doubles

Meh...Draymond was never leaving Golden State, that was just some media hype. The Warriors not only paid him, but they got rid of Poole too, in order to accommodate him. I guess since he hangs out a lot with Lebron now, it was
a " reasonable " story line, for some writers.

 

I am hoping one of the reasons he was never leaving was that we didn't want him. I spend quite a bit of time in the Bay Area when I am not traipsing around in AK. Many here would not have been sad to see him go...lol. We are pretty good at dodging bullets. The only one that really nailed us lately was the ballistic missile known as ICWBM.

Lebron will get his jersey, #23, up in the rafters for sure. But come on, a statue? Maybe after another title.

 

If he eventually gets one (I’m against it since he will spend so little if his career here), it will because of the name only and the Lakers wanting to show off big name statues of legends in front of the arena.

so I would get why they would do it, but personally wouldn’t unless we win a couple more chips. 1? Not enough.

 

If he wins another here and retires a Laker, then maybe. If not, I don’t think it would be right.

 

We really gotta stop with this statue stuff ! I really think Wayne Gretzky statue in front of Staples is kinda stupid . Wayne played for 2 franchise before coming to LA, same with LeBron, to me LeBron will always be a Heat / Cavalier. He is not a true Laker( I am gonna get s*** for this comment ) . We need a Kobe statue before anyone else .

 

We have had soooo many legends spend their whole careers with Us None of them gotta statue ! I don’t like LeBron getting a statue . AC Green deserves a statue before LeBron.

Don’t care how much most of us dislike LeBron’s love of all things LeBron …. he literally saved/made the franchise relevant again, was instrumental in getting AD to come too and won us a ring.

One more championship in an 8 year run as a Laker probably does deserve a statue, but not yet definitely. AC freaking Green …. c’mon be serious!

 

I don’t hate LeBron nor dislike him. Even before he came to LA , he is awesome for beating Boston all the time .

 

I think he needs 3 as a Laker. Some things are sacred, but he did set the all time scoring record while a Laker.

 

But the percentage of points he scored AS a Laker vs those in other unis has to be like 15%.

 

gretzky only played for the edmonton oilers prior to being traded to LA. i don't mind that statue at all. he's the reason why so many kids in socal started playing hockey. not to mention the kings weren't very good historically before he arrived and he got them to the finals in 93

the oscar de la hoya statue on the other hand......that's stupid

 

he'll never be on the same plane as our OG's for sure, but 3 chips would be hard to ignore.
