Of course it's embellished. He needs an excuse to rest.

Yeah I'm starting to think that him seeing Luka running the show will extend his career. He sees that we are legit contenders and as long as he continues playing he has a real shot at another ring.

If he takes a pay cut, I'm all up for it. He's still a top20 player right now, it's crazy. And when he leaves we won't have enough cap space so we benefit from his presence.

Just yesterday he made MPJ look like a G-league player just because he was mad he missed the FT before.
He can play until 45 in the Draymond role. JJ said yesterday that Luka will handle the ball so Bron will save a ton of energy. He can defend better, go for it in mini spurts when needed and play less minutes during the whole season

I'm glad he skipped the AS game

Our games are more important and no need to risk an injury in a meaningless game

I was watching the highlights again, doing some analysis... I think everyone benefits from having great playmakers like AR and Luka, but Bron is probably the biggest beneficiary on this team. They make the game much easier for him. Suddenly, he's not the main guy who needs not only to score a lot, but also to set everyone up. He immediately turned up his defensive intensity by at least 50%. It's unbelievable what kind of defense he can still play, switching from Murray to Jokic and doing it successfully, when he does not have to spend so much energy creating and scoring all game. He looks much more relaxed out there and the energy level is noticeably higher. He played 33 minutes, which is little bit less than usual (average is 35, and just over that few games before Luka joined the team), now he needs to go down to 30 IMO.

I'm hoping games like like this will put those crazy notions to rest that Luka, LeBron and AR can't all start and that LeBron and AR can't play off ball. Great players figure it out. I no longer think LeBron will retire after this season. We are going to win multiple championships.
