Also this, from yesterday. Tony is being a clown because that’s what he does, but he’s been saying LeBron to the Lakers for a year. Wilbon never makes a pick because that’s his thing, he’s the “I don’t know, and neither do you” guy, he rarely makes predictions other than the occasional baseball game, I assume because there are so many of them he can guess right next time. Anyway, thought it was worth posting just for what Wilbon says about our young guys, headline says “Wilbon is skeptical”, Wilbon then proceeds to sell himself on it. :D

Maybe Tony has a connect or has been following himself all the smoke going back to last year as far as Lebron coming more than likely depending on George and possibly another move.

Exactly. What is wrong with these people in the media? We have cap space and assets; and if PG comes, there is 1 piece already in place that goes a long way building a team that Lebron has recruited and wanted to play with for awhile...I think that will go a long way toward building a team that James wants to play with.

But what do I know. Still thinking we are going to trade for another All-Star using at least 2 of these kids...:)

    Shelburne on ESPN right now:

    - says Lakers still her favorite for LeBron.
    - decision will include his family's choice and she thinks LA fits that more than any city.
    - She said Stein's source on CP is 100% solid, but disagrees about Lebron.
    - She said she cant see LeBron going to Houston.
    - Sees a possibility for both CP and Lebron in LA but not perfect fit for LA due to Lonzo.
    - She doesnt see CP really leaving Houston and hints Houston has already agreed to max CP.
    - She said Lebron and Chris Paul to LA is unlikely, but she's Stein's friend so doesnt want to publicly disagree with him.
    - She thinks Lebron/George to LA is fairly likely.
    - Kawhi still working out and getting right. He and Spurs are mending their fences a bit. Doesnt think Pop and Kawhi have met yet. Fences need to get all the way mended before they make decisions. Should meet before the draft to figure things out.
    - She hints that Kawhi wont meet with Pop alone which could make it worse. Pop met one on one with Aldridge, but unlikely to be one on one with Kawhi. Could be tougher to mend bridges that way.

The point is that no matter who Lebron has as teammates; scrubs or all stars, people will always say he’s carrying a bigger load than everybody and that he needs more help. Always. Do you understand, we have literally been hearing this Lebron’s entire career. It’s his teammates fault that he has 6 losses in the Finals. Lebron is actually 3-0. His teammates are 0-6. Makes sense.

I’m dead cause some of the Lebron fans I’m talking about are right here on this board. @therealdeal @vasashi17 @lakerjones I know I’ve missed others...
    :Magicshrug::Shaqlaughing 2:
Most fanboys will call criticism of their hero as hate. You guys can call it whatever you like, but the fact remains that the reason this Cavs team is poor is because of everyone. Everyone. The Bronsexuals will say no “it’s only the role players, 100%” “Lebron is doing his thing.” “Oh yeah that Lue guy is pretty bad huh, well if he had better players he could coach better so there!”

Been here 10 years and just because a dude finally earns respect, that makes me a fanboy.

The point is that data backs up the narrative that this year and in these playoffs, Bron is carrying a bigger load than everybody and that he needs more help. I don't recall this being the narrative when Ky and Love were both healthy and playing with Bron in the Finals.

"Do you understand" that out of the last 45 NBA Finals, KAJ in '74 was the only player to join '18 Bron in contributing to more than 30% of his team's production? Of course you do, cause you literally have KAJ as your avatar and must've followed his career to understand that the Kap was a bad man!

(KAJ's bar is the left most gray bar....a more detailed graph can be found HERE)

So the narrative of Bron carrying a bigger load this year literally makes sense!

You best understand that. Always. And if you need "help" understanding further, I'm here for you...but only up to 30%. I can't be carrying you around LB the entire time. You think I'm Bron or something?

Btw, you caught me...I'm a total Bronsexual. I got this up at the crib on a wall where I needed to cover up a crack..

I forgot to comment on this earlier. I do not want Chris Paul. If the only way to get LeBron is to sign Chris Paul, then I don’t want LeBron. If they want to team they can do it elsewhere. I’ll gladly take Paul George, Randle, and go from there. I’m not rooting for Chris Paul, he’s whiny, he’s a dirty player, he’s s flopper, and he’s ridiculously ball dominant. If we signed him we might as well trade Lonzo and fire Luke because we’d not be playing a Warriors style offense, we’d be the Los Angeles Rockets.

On Mason and Ireland today, they discussed Boston as a possible landing spot for LeBron. They explained to do this, LeBron would have to do what Chris Paul did last year with Houston. He would have to opt in to his option next year, and the teams just trade with each other. LeBron has leverage to do this with Cleveland by saying “if you don’t trade me, I walk elsewhere and you get nothing in return”.

For this to work and make the salaries match, Boston would trade back Kyrie or Hayward to Cleveland. If this becomes real, I can see Hayward as the trade piece because it would just be weird for Cleveland to bring back Kyrie.

The thing most people have in their heads in this scenario would be, “but wait... Kyrie and LeBron would be back together again in Boston?”

Keep in mind Boston could always trade Kyrie to get another high level player back. Last summer when Kyrie demanded a trade, the Spurs were one of the teams on his list. What if things don’t workout between Kawhi and the Spurs? A Kyrie for Kawhi deal is good return for the Spurs to salvage a bad situation.

If the goal for LeBron is to figure out how to beat the Warriors, Boston is a spot where he would have the team to do it. Under this scenario, they would have a team where LeBron can pull a Ben Simmons and play point guard or play power forward and let Rozier play Point. The starting lineup would be:

    Rozier
    Brown
    Kawhi
    LeBron
    Horford

Tatum comes off the bench as super 6th man to combat Iguodala. Bench depth would still be there with Morris and Smart ready to go too...

Not to mention they would have the players to matchup against the Warriors death/Hamptons 5 lineup.

    LeBron vs Steph
    Brown vs Klay
    Kawhi vs Durant
    Tatum vs Iguodala
    Horford vs Draymond

I agree with @432J His teammates don't suck. They are underperforming. It's not the same thing. Kevin Love is an allstar in his prime. Hill, JR, Thompson, Nance, Clarkson, Korver... these players are B-level talent that have been relegated to scrubs.

Just proves that it's hard playing with ball-dominant players like Lebron and Westbrook when there is no system in place. Ask Bosh or Olapido. In fact, I've NEVER SEEN those 2 players elevate their teammate's play, unlike Kobe that made Gasol into the best C in the game for a short while, and Odom into a 6th man.
