Thought he was great in the 4th: hit a big 3 and just was big inside combined with the passing to AD

I doubt Lebron isn't going to choose to break the record against OKC , hopefully it won't cost us an important game

At home against the Bucks and Giannis will be the day

Watching Giannis against the Clippers last night, I hope Lebron breaks the record against OKC.

    Gut feeling...

If LeBron is 1 or 2 points away from passing Kareem, he's going to try to hammer one down to break the record. Knowing him he's still pissed this didn't happen. Would have been the highlight of all highlights.

We’ll keep him under any conditions and pay him whatever he wants while he’s here.

And he deserves everything that comes along with that.

OK Bron the ref’s have repaid you now for the Tatum foul at least with some of those semi straight arm / back forearm push drives they gave you. Too bad your coach isn’t smart enough to give you more help out there with much better use of the talent he has wasting on the bench.

Spoke to a former collegiate ref tonight and a Bron story came out of it. It's going to take some background and rambling to get to, but here it goes...

He officiated for 12 years, got out of it because his kid asked him to coach his team and he couldn’t juggle both with travel. He didn't coach in the bigger conferences because air travel was required and you're gone longer, with 5 kids under 13 he wanted to be closer to home, so he was based here in the southeast for DII and DIII. They make between $300-$1200 a game depending on conference and experience. For extra money, they will pick up AAU games after the college season is over.

I asked him if he had any memorable issues with any college player or coach and that's what brought him to this story. He coached an AAU game that Bronny played in, in ATL and he said Bron complained more than any player or coach he officiated in college. Bron was Courtside and he and his family had the entire row blocked off for themselves. 50-60 security personnel were assigned because Bron was there.

He said there was one play that really set off Bronny and Bron. He was the lead ref and others weren't that experienced, so they leaned on him for some of the more difficult calls. Late in the game, player on the opposing team is driving. Splits the D (Bronny and a teammate). Goes up for a layup. Fouled. Clearly fouled because it changed the trajectory of the shot. This ref is trailing the play and doesn't have a clear view of who fouls him. Waits a beat to see the result of the play (pet peeve of mine... foul is a foul regardless of result), other refs don't call anything, so he does. He knows the foul count, Bronny has 1 and his teammate is 1 away from fouling out. Because he's guessing who it was on, he hits Bronny with it to keep the other kid in the game. Bronny loses it on him, swears he didn't touch him. Ref admits he didn't see it, but it was clearly a foul. Tells him you only have 1 foul, your teammate is about to foul out. Would you rather I whistled it on him? Then Bron gets after him on the way up the court with the same, my son didn't commit a foul. Ref asks Bron, was it a foul? Both Bron and Bronny ultimately let it go, but I thought it was an interesting interaction. Only so many people can say they've been yelled at by Bron and son.

hes also the longest tenured Laker and gotten rid of every other valuable core role player. There is no continuity and hence piss poor chemistry on the team despite talent there.

that Duh comment was so stupid as it throws teammates under the bus. Imagine if a teammate answered if Giannis or Luka for Lebron trade would benefit the Lakers

really begging him to lay off the long jumpers.

    upload_2023-2-5_19-10-28.png

people like to give AD s*** about this while just ignoring that our starting pf also likes to just camp out and jack long jumpers with little chance of conversion. this one does it while also not being great on defense.

    you're smart. fix it.
