i think what bothers me here is that i value both lavar and svtzr's contributions to the forum and am surprised at the level/tenor of the disagreements.

lavar has a point that the same arguments spoil multiple threads (though it's hard to avoid, and i'm guilty of participating), but i also think that it's ok that some take contrarian opinions. as slick says, without it, what's the point?

It does...I just like trolling the two stans.

And I'll probably be suspended at some point.

But do I care? Not really. Besides you, @Weezy @Elgin @LTLakerFan the quality and there are others who really post good stuff.

    Otherwise? It's been pedestrian.

    I just like to troll.

I actually like or don't mind a lot of your takes, I just don't think I'm a Westbrook stan. I also think your trolling isn't particularly subtle so I don't find it assuming.

Either way I don't really have any problems with you and I'd hope the admins don't give you a warning because I'm not offended in any particular way and wouldn't stop posting because of a bit of s*** talking here or there.

Nah. You’re getting an official warning here.

You can’t just ignore mod requests to follow the rules. We’re pretty lenient in just giving reminders to follow the rules most of the time, but it’s not a request you can ignore.

If you felt you were being unfairly targeted you could have messaged me, but I never recieved a message.

Lebron billion dollars James, no wonder he doesn't want to get traded. He can get rich and get his record stats and be content, not so bad, those are huge accomplishments, but not the mamba mentality, being never satisfied, to live and die for a ring at all cost.

Lebron would of made a billion dollars at any team. For sure the lakers helped his brand and vice versa, but he would be minting money at any city or team. He has transcended his sport.

Yay for LeBron but it doesn’t help us one bit. When the C Bags win their 18th, and we miss the playoffs again next season, and it does not bother him, he’s no Laker, he’s a mercenary without any loyalty.

it's good for the brand that he becomes a billionaire while he's playing here, whether it mattered or not.

I thought you guys were joking

I guess I'm reading things with best intentions these days or with a grain of salt. When our team sucks the forum usually isn't full of completely happy souls, so some of this is to be expected.

I am reading this situation as the way points are delivered and following rules not so much the opinions themselves but I'm wrong half the time. I do believe we need to respect our mods or we end up having to sift through pages of arguing to find a few on topic posts. Without a doubt Lavar and svtzr bring a lot to the table.

Bet you guys up there would handle things more mano y mano. Playing hoops on skates on frozen ponds, grizzes roaming where you live and mooses that carry grudges and all.

A discussion, a debate, or an argument: when differing opinions converge, it tends to lead to one of them. I think all fans want to get to the same destination, it's the opinion on the path taken, that can lead to disagreement. The name calling stuff is childish, other than that, I think everyone should be free to express themselves, none of us are getting paid to make any decisions involving the team. A little passion, or minor dustup is a good thing IMO, it spurs discourse, the moderators are supposed to be here to keep it civil...well...at least I think that's their function. Some folk's skin is a little thicker than others I guess , I don't take anything personal myself. I'm already optimistic about next season, last season is done and over , on to the next one. Go Lakers!!

Line up I would like to see to extend Lebron's career and effectiveness, especially after an off season of improvement. Reaves, McClung (Nunn here if healthy), Gabriel, AD and Lebron. Gabriel is our high energy garbage guy that can hit just enough threes to keep a team honest. Play some defense take a little pressure off of AD. Reaves and McClung are both sparkplugs that can handle the ball and pass with either hand, shoot reasonably well, both play defense, fearless, run the break. They are neither overpowering in any one area but they have complete games. Lebron can use his IQ to pick his spots, easiest defensive assignment, backdoors, slip screens, work with AD to get favorable match ups. He can stand off ball and be a decoy and rest a few plays. Pound the boards. All things he could do if he isn't expending all his energy dribbling and we will get much higher percentage shots. I also think the all important team chemistry would be much better. He directs the offense in a more subtle way. Keep Lebron under thirty minutes. AD can now be the true number one doing many of the same things as Lebron. Good line up for Ham's 4-1 or 5 out offense and fun to watch. Stan would be Gabriel's back up, if by some chance Nunn is healthy he could start instead of McClung with McClung giving Nunn and Reaves breaks. THT could be Nunn, Reaves or Lebron as needed. The one super trade that would shuffle this immensely would be somehow trading Russ to Chicago and getting Caruso back. That is the only trade I would give any assets up for. I am not a trade guy so no I do not know how that is even possible I just want AC back. Who knows what players we will end up with but I would enjoy watching some team ball.

Don’t think McClung can be higher than hopefully off the bench spark plug and ONLY if he improves handles even further, 3 point % of course and knowledge and technique on defense. Nunn if risen from the grave and AR … hell yeah to that!

I like McClung, but I just think he’s too small to be a decent defender. If you are short, you need to at least have a bulldog’s body, like Lowry, in order to not get targeted on the defensive end.

It’s not like McClung doesn’t have good muscle on him now and you watch he’s going to put on more muscle this summer, certainly years before his athletic prime. You’re not as athletic and explosive as he is without being strong. He talked about competing and banging with Westbrook in practice and liked the challenge. This kid like Reaves is tough and competitive. And I’ve read here probably from one of the beat guys he’s got a bit of a bulldog presence to him on D. Certainly next year a better defender already than Cook was in the bubble AND may be able to bring even more on offense?
