LABron James Discussion: Olympics MVP

He was criticizing LeBron with his stature and following giving the impression that it could all be not even a real thing, like we don’t have enough of that already out there and deaths known to probably many on this site. I’ve got a number including wife’s side of family and son’s friend’s family and there was a 60 Minutes segment on the hospitals in deep trouble with people leaving the profession from overwork and stress and their personal exposure to the danger day in and out.

 

I am sorry for your loss. At times I do need to be aware that this thing does hit close to home.

i'm conflicted, but i think doug is generally accurate here. especially with AD going out there and playing hurt. that's why i was advocating for AD to sit--lebron's sitting! what's the message here?

AD better sit the last three.

 

He needs to play both games to secure the scoring title, right?

 

is that right? if he plays AFTER the season is over to pad stats...

man, if i were AD, i'd quietly ask out. he just gets murdered for not playing, and then lebron decides when he feels like stat padding and ducking the losses and blame.

 

2 of the last 3 I think. Of course he will. Such BS him letting AD go out there in probably worse condition with his ankle when there was still a mathematical chance to hit the play in games, while he rested with his slight scoring lead waiting to play and try to lock it up AFTER we’ve been eliminated. Both should have been shut down since we had zero chance to do anything in playoffs. As so many others here have already said.

 

Yeah, he can still qualify for the scoring title if he plays the last two games.

If he does the reaction to that will be...not good. I gotta think someone as concerned about his image as LeBron knows that but I guess we will see.

He and AD should've already been shut down IMO. Definitely no reason to keep playing them now.

 

I work in a hospital we had to stop all elective surgeries and close outpatient clinics three times due to our hospital getting swamped: Covid was not the flu which we handle each year with nothing close to these type of changes

I’m sorry but anyone with brain cells can see that Covid and the flu are different.

 

Wow. That 60 Minutes episode was sobering. All that training and experience choosing to leave from the stress and burnout.

 

Also, for what it’s worth, Embiid put up 45 points yesterday which put him in a sizable lead for the scoring title. I don’t know what the numbers would have to look like in the final games Lebron to regain the #1 scoring spot, but it’s probably unlikely.

 

My oldest daughter is a nurse and it has been scary.

I'm glad this season is almost over. Please trade this embarrassment known as Lebron and start trying to salvage the Laker legacy. Never have I looked forward to the end of a season before. Hoping to find some hope for next. This was the most under performing team in any sport I can think of. Though granted I'm not wasting much time thinking about it...lol

Most likely he stays here for business reasons. Lakers front office wants him on the team while he passes Kareem. I pray we can get rid of Russ though but if Not at least that's 90 mill off the books.

I'm really curious to see if he plays. I think it's a PR disaster, which matters to him. I don't think he'll do it, high risk low reward type of situation
