    Kobe, while receiving the 2010 NBA Finals MVP thanked Pau Gasol. He was getting the highest individual single player award and was thanking Pau Gasol. Stick your certain someone up your a**. 5 championships d*** face. 5 titles. Spent half his first 14 years in the league in the Finals with two different teams. In the west, and is still the leader in beating 50-win teams in the playoffs. Eat it!

    I stopped reading at “Dwight Howard.” If anything, Kobe did us a favor by doing things his way and scaring off Howard.

    I feel like this forum is more sympathetic to LeBron than most of Lakers' fandom but do you guys get the sense that if we get Kawhi a lot of Lakers fans are itching to dismiss LeBron and foster all their love and attention on Kawhi and to a lesser extent AD? Maybe because people see Kawhi as Kobe's spiritual successor from a gameplay perspective (even tho Kobe is inarguably a top 5 passing SG of all time, which Kawhi is not)

    I don’t get that sense, all I see is that we want championships. LeBron, AD, Kawhi = championships. That’s the only thing that matters here to fans. The only way I think it would be hard for a large number of the fans to get behind the team is if Chris Paul were on it. There’s a line where it gets hard to support the name on the front of the jersey over the back and he pushes it, same as Dwight Howard did for me (and Malone and Payton did in ‘04).

    I tend to like Kawhi more than lbj
    And he will instantly be my favorite player

    I used to hate upon hate on the kang
    But hes a laker so I love him now
    While he may not be my favorite
    He will definitely be heavily defended by myself

    And I surely appreciate everything hes doing and has done so far
    He signed with us .. with no help
    That was a huge step toward redemption in laker fandom

    And if he helps get us even or to 18 he will definitely be revered!

    When Magic quit on the team at the end of the season, I believed Lebron was the only one that can save us from a dysfunctional front office.

    So far his and Rich Paul’s pull in the league has netted us AD. With AD, Kawhi is a very real possibility. I hated Lebron before he became a Laker but I don’t think I can hate him anymore.
