His groan went pop with a partial tear. What do you want our staff to do beyond the time it takes for something like that to heal acceptably to chance playing again.

I'm sure he knows what he is doing. Let the guy heal properly. Yes, I'd like to see him sooner or later, but not if he is going to get injured again. It is what it is, we are hoping to make serious impact next year; obviously that is the plan, which frustrates me, but there is nothing we can do about it right now. Maybe he will come back soon and we start winning a ton of games. It's possible.

Well there's their time lines and then there's the extent of the actual injury. The latter will take precedence over fans being upset. Last thing Bron or his personal team wants is to completely rupture it if he comes back too soon. Just is what it is.

I think that it is completely possible that Rich Paul and LeBron James orchestrated this request without even checking with the Lakers.

They may be pushing their own agenda and their own timeline against the Lakers wishes.

I’m almost willing to shave my cat over it I’m so sure. He’s impatient, feels his declining athleticism, watches the product on the floor and knows he needs more help, etc.

He said he would be patient, but it looks to me like he threw that out the window and wants to try to force a move now.

I’d be completely OK with Magic and Rob simply telling him no. It’s actually not in our best interest to lose all of our talented youth in one swoop.

It’s who he is. He’s like a locust who comes in and harvests and sells all your crops for something better. You have a momentary sense of satisfaction with a championship or two. Then he walks away and leaves your franchise burning to the ground and doesn’t even look back. He never leaves it better than he finds it. It’s up to Magic and Rob to prevent that from happening.

Bill O'Ram is onto something; I think LBJ is going to be out until after the All-Star Break.

Updating a previous report, James (groin) is listed as out for Thursday against the Clippers, Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times reports.

I don't think they are going to make a play-off

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if lebron's considering a soft tank. We've been dealt a bad hand, injury-wise, and apparently potential trade partners drool for late lotto picks...

Yep. I was advocating "tank" last night - if anything, it gives you another asset to use in conjunction in negotiations with another All-Star.

Lebron is chasing all time records, so no way he’s passing up the potential to score 800+ points to finish the season.

And there I was actually believing I would not see a Lakers fan hoping for the GODDAMN tank at least for the foreseeable future. Seems like I lack the imagination.
