I'd say Houston has ZERO shot this year. Pending some amazing move of course, and injuries to GS. I just don't see it.

James has been out of action since suffering a groin injury against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.

"I haven't seen him do contact yet, so I don't feel as confident," Walton said of James' return to action. "But I know you know how serious he is about his rehab. So he's doing everything possible and we've talked. I know he's dying to get back on the basketball court, but he also knows that getting healthy is the top priority. So whenever that day comes, he'll be back out there

Doesn't look that he's going to return soon, maybe even after All Star game

Growing up watching Kobe Bryant will be a curse for the rest of our days. We watched the ultimate player for 2 decades. Anyone else is going to look like s*** compared to him.

LABron is team cap again. I wonder who his 1st pick will be?

AD didn't make the starting 5...wonder what Bron/Rich Paul think about that. I'm sure being a Laker, could change that.

You know for damn sure half the owners will submit a letter to Silver when Lebron picks AD with the first pick.

The worst thing is Lakers have been lying/refusing to give a clear timetable on his return date and keep doing so .

Day to day for one month... and still in the dark

Against the good teams its like $200 for the nosebleeds and at that point you’re just paying to watch a beatdown.

Lakers medical staff either absolutely sucks azz or the Lakers lie intentionally.

How can a team always fail to calculate when players return? Often times the time table gets pushed back without any reports of a potential setback. This truly is unacceptable.

I was reading the other day how the gambling industry is upset about the intransparency of NBA franchises with regard to injuries and how they are working on Adam Silver to enforce tougher rules and more transparent injury reports. You can be sure they have great lobby.

When he said he felt a pop, I knew he was out for at least 6 weeks. You don't feel a pop unless a significant amount of the muscle tore. Every time I felt a pop (usually in my quads) it was 9-12 weeks. I hoped that having world class medical support around the clock would help him come back faster, but I knew it was going to be 6 weeks.

6 weeks would put us at 26-27 .

Would probably need to finish 19-10 to get the 8th spot .

Lebron missing the game against the Floppers would be bad : we need the tiebreaker against them
