I'm only talking about isolation drives in the half court. Lebron is still elite on drives in the fast break, but even with that, he's down in literally every offensive percentage so far this season, which I admit, doesn't mean much if he is indeed just going to turn it on later in the season and getting to know his new team.

I'm not sure where to look up the numbers just for half court drives, but just watching the games, it hasn't looked good to me.

    He's "only" finishing 65% of his attempts at the rim so far this season ( 78/119) . 75% last season , 76% in 16-17. 69.9% in 15-16, 69.7% in 14-15

Mid-range game is on though ( 22/47 goof for 46.8%)

Whether he is better or not is taste but he is in the discussion which is all you can ask for. Statistically he is better than MJ IMO. But what makes it tough is different eras, different defenses, different rules, different pace, different nutrition etc.

Stellar against the Blazers. That's what millions of people in LA have been waiting for!

Very cool post by nbahistory. Don't forget to swipe, it keeps going:

I've always likened LBJ to Wilt - they both have tremendous production and a polarizing discussion about being "the man" in their eras. They both are overwhelmingly good, but have thorns in ther sides with guys like like Russell and Curry. I never enjoyed the MJ/Kobe comparison. LBJ's career is more similar to Wilt's, Magic's and maybe Shaq's, rather than Kobe's or MJ's.

It's crazy to think but we could be in 1st in the West and 2nd in the league if it wasn't for his two games at the free throw line. We should have beat San Antonio twice and Minnesota, to be 11-3. This next stretch of 9 games is a 8-1 win stretch if they take these teams seriously. We could be sitting 3rd or 4th by December 1st.

I don't think he should be playing 35 min a game. Hopefully we'll be able to drop that on the course of the season and his tenure here if we don't trade him. (Still my secret hope)

lots of mileage. The way Sloan managed the final years of Stockton in his 40's was brilliant, and the guy was still amazingly effective. If Lebron is managed that way and stays healthy, no way that Kareem's scoring record stands. Pretty crazy to hit 5th and not have signs of slowing down, but then again.....Kobe.

Now that he's a Laker, he's better than Jordan. He'll never be as good as Kareem though.

He's still playing at a super high level. It's unreal.

He's 5th all time in scoring and he's 11th all time in assists (and the highest non-PG on that list).

There's a very chance he's the all time leading scorer by the end of his career. If he averages a shade over 6 assists a game for the remainder of this year and the next three years (assuming he misses 3 games this year and 5 games in each of the next three seasons) he passes Magic in assists.

He legit could be #1 scorer and #6 in assists when he's done. That's absurd.

    But his rebounds SMH

And please don’t make me bring up turnovers. Probably end up #1 there too.

I don't give a damn what any of these clowns say. Those are the two best basketball players that have ever lived.

Sure Kareem. But all around skills of every aspect of the game plus same realm of championships and impact in every game ... it's Jordan and Kobe.
