    What do you guys think are the chances he announces tonight?

    If he’s coming here, it sounds like it’s something he decided a while ago. Why put up a charade and wait a few days acting like it’s a hard decision?

    I'd say it's 50/50 he announces tonight.

    He announces tonight, then everyone looks at Paul George, and he "changes his mind" and takes a meeting with the Lakers. Signs with us by the 4th.

    This is LeBron James. I’d honestly think he’s want to announce his decision in the middle of the day, when the most people can see it, talk about it, cover it, celebrate it, bow down and worship it, etc.. So not at night when it’s 11-midnight for half the country. July 4th would make more sense. He could state it as LeBron Independence Day and try and get the US to make it a joint holiday for the country and himself.

    I could see this when he was younger but now I don’t see it especially with the backlash he got for the decision. Plus, some of the media heads were saying he didn’t want a circus. I don’t think he announces at midnight but I do think he does it quickly so the other pieces fall into place... at least I hope!

    He announced his return to Cleveland only 4 years ago with an SI article, dude LOVES attention. If he comes to the Lakers, it is huge news, possibly NBA shifting news depending on who joins him. You don’t think he’d want to announce that in grand fashion? I couldn’t see it any other way.

    Highly unlikely even though I do think he makes his decision pretty quickly in the next few days. The sooner the better though as many have mentioned already because it assures PG that Lebron is here no matter what.

    Not sure if it was posted but NBA 2K19 tweeted out that there would be a live Twitter announcement on July 2nd at 12 EST a few days ago. LeBron is on the cover of the game.

    As long as LeBron actually signs here, he can make as big a show of it as he wants. As long as he becomes a Laker he can announce it by parachuting into downtown LA with sparklers in each hand on the 4th of July for all I care. I just want all the other NBA owners to start shaking in their boots at the thought of us becoming good again. All of the ones that screwed us 7 years ago and refuse to deal with us in any way to this point can suck it. LeBron is a huge domino, it will lead to a 2nd star in some way, and quality vet minimum siginings, and at the VERY least we’d be a playoff team again.
