The Cavs do have room to improve. They don't have the type of flexibility of the Lakers obviously but it's not like they are absolutely stuck with the incumbent roster. Wisely though Lebron could very well drag his decision until mid-July just to see what the Cavs do with the draft/early stages of free agency.

They do have that Brooklyn pick, currently slotted at #8. We'll see the official slot when the lottery goes down next week. While Lebron may not be overly interested in a rookie, we've seen impact rookies in recent seasons. We've also seen countless useless rookies but it's not out of the question they find a useful player right away at the pick. At the least it's a nice trade chip though. Teams will definitely have interest in trading for a Top 10 pick. I also think the Cavs can reasonably expect more from Hill, Clarkson and Nance next season (and next postseason). It's not easy to transition to a new team at the deadline and Clarkson/Nance are having their first taste of the postseason and sucking. Have to figure it's only up from here for them. They're useful players and showed as much in their time in LA. Likewise for rookie Cedi Osman, who has shown flahes They have the MLE to use as well, which could yield a fairly quality player if used properly. It was used on the likes of Tyreke Evans, Jamal Crawford, Justin Holiday, PJ Tucker, Rajon Rondo, Patrick Patterson, Rudy Gay, CJ Miles and Milos Teodosic last summer.

I don't perceive him leaving CLE as some inevitability. Good chance but hardly a lock in my eyes. There are reasons for him to stay. There are reasons for him to leave. None of us know what his true intentions are. The Lakers obviously just need to convince him there are more reasons for him to leave and come to LA (and obviously getting PG on board is a huge plus in their favor) than any alternate option.

Boston can beat Cleveland this year imo and next year they will be the official top dog of the east like it or not.

If he comes here you oughta think PG does too, we can keep Randle to bang with draymond/capela and have a great surrounding cast with cheap young talent.
Talk about having your cake and eating it too imo. I keep thinking he loves lonzo cause he thinks to himself getting all these easy setup passes, he won't have to burn a lot of energy. Other guys to guard the best player if we like...

I don't see how Boston can beat CLE. They're not going to be able to score enough points consistently IMO.

Scheme/system.. Rozier, Tatum, Brown and Horford are capable of putting up 80 themselves.

If they contain Lebron to say under 25.. I can see Cleveland struggling to get 100.

I’m with you. We’ve seen this movie before, and it always ends the same way. The C Bags were essentially the same team last season with Bradley in place of Tatum, and LeBron dropped 38, 30, 34, and 35 in Cleveland’s wins. It took LeBron having an 11 point night and a Bradley 3 at the buzzer for the C Bags to win game 3 to avoid a sweep. The C Bags will lose again, for one simple reason, the Cavs have LeBron and they don’t. Nobody in the East can stop LeBron, there aren’t bright enough stars. The last team to do it had KG, Allen, and Pierce on it. If the C Bags had Kyrie and Hayward vs this Cavs roster, it would be a toss up for me, but as is, it’s 6 games tops IMO, but probably 5 again.

One time I actually predicted something correctly!

I watched that first game and I saw the fear in the eyes of Derozan and others in that first game. Toronto was scared. They had to win that first game and couldn’t do it.

I was thinking about this today on my way home......All those guys we were rumored to get or almost got like Carmelo, Derozen, and Aldridge. Lakers through this horrendous down turn actually got lucky not getting any of these clowns. Now Mitch and Short Buss made up for it by signing Moztrosity and Dung, but at least one of them is off the books and the other has only 2 years left.

Yup we thank Kupcrap and Jimmy, one thing I look forward to next season is it would be near the end of the Dung saga...worse than the Nash and Brian Grant saga. That's Kupcrap for you

Exactly. We dodged a bullet. No thanks to Derozan. Great player just doesn't have that alpha mentality...

Conflicted again. Who to root to lose hardest? LeBronettes or the C Bags?

Not that it matters. Both will get obliterated by Houston or GS. I guess the C Bags lessens the chance our future pf getting hurt, and it would be more brutal for the C bag fans to lose in the Finals?

You root for a sudden surfacing of a scandal involving Ainge and Gilbert where both teams are disqualified and the Rockets vs Warriors gets extended to first to 7 wins.

I will pass the good stuff now.
