If we're dumping Ingram to appease Lllllebron in someway (make room or his guys) I'm hanging up my Lakers card.

    Book it.

I wouldn't stop being a fan, but I'd be incredibly pissed. Dumping a guy I hope to watch grownand get really good play here for at least a decade for a 34 year old about to decline LeBron. Ugh.

Lol, I don't want it, but what can we do if we comes here? If he chooses us in free agency I have no choice but to root for the team, I'm obligated. Like realdeal said I'm seeing too much smoke here now, it has to be a real possibility. For that reason I need to shift gears and start mentally preparing myself for an entire year, that's how much it's going to sting if he does sign here, I have to brace myself a year ahead of time.

He doesn't need to dump Deng for that to happen. With Clarkson, Ingram, Ball, Nance, Zubac and Deng, we are only going to be at 47 million. We will be able to sign both to close to max deals. I don't think LBJ is stupid enough to ask us to get rid of Ingram in a salary dump so he can get a full max.

But if they dump Ingram or Ball to clear off Deng just to sign Lebron to a full max, I might be out as a Laker fan too. And I've been a Laker fan for over 30 years.

We won't have the cap space. Throw in Hart and Kuzma at the min and you are at $50mm

Anyways LBJ salary starts at $35mm and PG at $30mm

Cap goes to around $103mm in 2018/19

See not enough moola, gotta free up an extra $10mm at the min

If the Lakers got rid of Clarkson and Randle, but not Deng they'd have very close to enough for the max for just two players. Might need to shed a few more of the young guys.

If they shed all three, they'd have plenty of room for two maxes and another guy worth about 12 million.

If they shed Deng and one of Clarkson or Randle, I think they're very close. May need to let go of some of the young guys.

Lonzo would have to be an absolute disaster to trade him after one season. Not gonna happen.

Ingram has already shown Magic & Rob what they are looking for. He's already adjusting to the NBA. He has length you can't teach. He's serious, committed, hard working, and humble. Not gonna happen.

They know LlllleBron is coming for 3-4 seasons tops. Ball + Ingram are the foundation of the future. The FO is going to keep building for the long range future while trying for a Super team in the immediate future.

We're in a GREAT position. Patience is the key. Adding PG13 and Lebron allows us to contend for titles from at least 2018-2020. Then 2020 and beyond we'll still have Lonzo and Ingram who'll both only be 22 years old, which will attract the next generation of NBA stars. There's no doubt in my mind that Ball and Ingram will be amongst the best at their positions in 3 years time. Folks we're good.

I know it's ESPN's rankings, so it can't be that accurate, but daaaaamn the East sucks. The freakin Sixers are excited right now because with the Bulls and Pacers falling off a cliff they probably could get into the playoffs if healthy.

    This ain't home.

He might come, but to me he'll always be a visitor. And a huge genetically gifted, flopping, whining, manipulative, non dominant closer type. An all time great for sure, but I'd rather do it without him honestly.

But I'll never consider this Lebron's home. Ever.

Crazy... The East is now an Express Lane for Cleveland's path to the Finals and possibly another loss for James. Not one...not two...not three and so on and so on.

Kyrie should count as 1 as well if only for the degree of difficulty of his layups and his handles. :p

Did the new CBA do away with front loading and back loading contracts? If not, I don't see dificulty in signing both PG and LLLLLebron.

Sigh... I know it's coming. I f***ing hate this, but I see it's pretty clear it's going to happen. Too many rumors and the stars aligning with PG making his demands. We might even be able to steal/fit in Westbrook as well, with all the rookie contracts on this team and a willingness to take a huge Hit for being over the cap for a few years until Deng expires... but Jeanie, Magic and Rob just might do exactly that expecting a championship payoff.

If this team makes any kind of noise this season with its young core, we are in a prime position to get LLLLLebron and I hate it, but I see all the filthy, disgusting, repulsive stars aligning

If Magic is able to pull this off he deserves another statue outside the Staples Center.

He already got rid of that albatross contract in Mozgov, looks inevitable he's gonna bring Paul George here, and if he's able to get LeBron freaking James or Westbrook I mean that's Jerry West esque stuff right there.
