If this was it, it’s a pretty incredible last season for Lebron, he becomes the all time leading scorer, turns around a season that no one had us making any noise in, going to the WCF and playing all 48 in his last game with a historic performance.

He could just be tired and frustrated.

I think that he just wants the players, he wants, to be around him, for his last two seasons. He got to the Conference finals as a 7th seed, he wants that ring. He's willing to threaten to retire, in order to get his way.

I mean seriously, what did we get from the 3 guys we got in the Russ trade tonight? 4 pts.

How though? Kyrie is obvious but there is no realistic path to acquire him. If Reaves is part of that deal as a sign and trade I'd be furious. I just don't see how Mavs would take Dlo for Kyrie in a sign and trade. Unless Kyrie signs for the cheap, it's just not happening.

We'd be headed to the Finals with Kyrie. That's probably what's burning him up right now. He asked for Kyrie twice and got denied. Now everyone is looking at D'Angelo sideways. Thought he would be Kyrie light, didn't happen.

He wanted it done while he was in Brooklyn. I think he's expressing it, without saying it directly. Yeah pretty much a 5% chance now. Yet I'm sure Lebron already has a few other names in mind. If he doesn't get his wishes met this time, I'm retiring is his leverage.

dont repeat history with Irving, he can go full flat earth on us any moment and his performance in playoffs last yr was almost as embarrassing as Dlo this den series

Man you know that playing for the Lakers, resurrects some guys careers. He's an AD of perimeter defenders, and he's Klutch and needs a fresh start. Don't be shocked

Amazing career and I appreciate the ring but the team would be foolish to bend over for 39 year old Lebron. He's a year to year player at this point and 1 bad move could send us back to the Westbrook days. We have some pretty nice depth now. Championship caliber? No, but it's a solid group to build on.

Yet he was still our best player on the court. On the flipside, had he gotten Kyrie, we'd be heading to the Finals. It has to be Finals or nothing for Lebron, I appreciate that energy. The Westbrook trade still puts us in a position to make moves.

If you swap Kyrie for Dlo but in reality it would not be that simple. We'd be hard capped so we'd end up losing Reaves, Rui, Dennis and more most likely. It would be Lebron, AD, Kyrie and zero depth. And you just know that those guys would be missing a bunch of games.

Ben Simmons would more likely to be bothered hitting up IG models and becoming a social media star than playing basketball if he was here in LA.

I think this is the heat of the moment stuff from LBJ. Even he can see there's a lot to build upon here. We don't need a desperate trade like Westbrook again.

Tsai didn't want to send him to us, so nothing the front office could have done. I read reports that they were also asking for Reaves and Christie which I wouldn't do. Reaves was incredible, he needs to be a part of the core.

I'd be on board for the Mavs deal, but why would Dallas do that?

The only way he retires is if the foot is a lot worse than we think. The rest is just in the moment feelings after spending the past 4 months in playoff mode.

He's not one to walk away willingly without getting his much deserved flowers on his way out.
