If he is unable to recover next week, we're pretty much done. At least I'll still have fun cheering for our new team. Guys play very hard.

Never going to doubt the man, but if this is true. It's over.

Would be nice if the rest of our team could rally around this and win some games with AD as the focal point. This feels less hopeless to me than it would be if it was AD going down indefinitely again. Feed the beast and see how far that can take us . . .

Welp, that’s why I couldn’t get myself too happy about yesterday’s comeback. Hearing him talk about “I heard it pop” sounded very bad.

It’s unfortunate, but I’d like to think our new roster can tread water and remain in striking distance of the play-in without Lebron.

Regardless, I think it was always unlikely we’d make a big splash this season given how it generally takes time for a new roster to mesh, so our focus should be on evaluating our new assets, minimizing the impact of a potential pick swap with NO, and trying to sneak into the playoffs in whatever capacity possible even if just to give the guys some experience together. But if there’s any risk of Lebron aggravating the injury and it becoming a long-term thing that could bleed into next year, just shut him down. No need to rush him back.

Hopefully next year now that we have a competent roster we can actually load manage Lebron properly rather than running him into the ground.

Well that sounds like possible surgery: rest of the season is to see what they have in D. Lo and get this team ready for next year.

It all depends on what multiple weeks means. Is that 2 weeks or is that 6 weeks?

If everyone else is healthy, two weeks is OK. 4 weeks is kinda tough. 6 weeks and season is over.

Well, at least Bron is known for his ability to recover from injury, even at his age. If this happened to AD, I'd be beyond worried, but with Bron... I'm still somehow optimistic. It probably won't require surgery... looks like some kind of plantar injury.

Crazy that he actually finished the game. He actually played BETTER after the injury.

    Props for that

    This is definitely bad news.

We will see how the team responds. I feel like we can get to the play in game but who knows at this point.

We aren’t going anywhere without him. We can still win some games, but we go nowhere of note without him, probably miss the playoffs. Sucks, but I’ve feared this all season, can’t be playing a 38 year old in year 20 so many minutes so often. Ham said before the season he wasn’t going to play him playoff minutes and he has, no coach can help themselves when their job can be on the line. I also have to laugh at some here hating on him for missing games a couple weeks ago, calling him soft and taking a vacation, just pure blind hate. Dude has carried us for stretches, he’s old, doesn’t matter if he’s in great shape and not like many others, still human, still old.

One game at a time, AD has an opportunity, to reclaim his top 5 spot in the League. We won't do any damage in the playoffs without Lebron, we might be able to get there though.

Ugh. I knew it wasn't going to be good news after the injury. It was crazy that he somehow managed to play on it and win the game. Well, here's hoping it's not as severe as they think and he's back in a couple weeks. Obviously we will need him to do anything in the playoffs or playin if we make it. Even to get there we will probably need him.

When we made the deadline trades I got some flak for saying they were more about next season as this season was probably too far gone. 74/76 NBA champions were Top 4 seeds, teams just don't come from the bottom of the standings to win it all. In 2020-2021 the Warriors ultimately missed the playoffs, but the reps that guys like Poole and Wiggins got with Curry and Draymond were invaluable in their starting off the 2021-2022 season hot. Unfortunately, I think the rest of this season is more about building continuity and discovering the right combinations for next season.

Yeah this is definitely bad news. Do we rest him until we NEED him? Can AD and crew hold down the fort like Lebron did when AD was out?

We'll see..if AD sprains or tweaks something though, he'll be up for trade discussion this summer. I'm expecting him to ball out, but it's no surefire guarantee, that he won't join Lebron in street clothes soon either.
