lot of talk about triple doubles, but my favorite moment from the grizz game was sometime late third/early fourth when lebron took two jjj full-thrust forearms to the chest and pushed his a** back, collected the miss and made sure jjj understood the situation. i felt like that's the message your superstar leader sends, and jjj received it. come up with a different move, brother.

iirc, i think it set up the play where rui took jjj's charge by standing in. one of the announcers (svg?) tried to say rui "sold" it. but imo, he didn't. he stood his ground and got knocked over, and the refs had seen how hard jjj was having to ram guys to get those hooks off.

anyway, i love it when lebron takes the challenge against low post bruisers. he did it in the olympics for a couple plays on jokic, and i think it was really impactful there, too. it just says, hey: we've got one guy here who you can't plow through and whom the officials respect (AD, sadly, gets none of that).

That play you refer to - late, and JJJ trying to back down our "center" at that moment - Lebron James - who gave back as much what was being dealt: JJJ misses the 8 footer, Bron, turns around and gets the board? When you see that, you realize how much you miss it. We don't see it nearly often enough.

JJJ can hook AD and get a foul called on AD; Lebron will not get called for that if JJJ tries that on him. One reason AD was in foul trouble. The refs were pretty bad, I thought.

Agree with Lebron giving a s*** on defense helps the team. If he's not feeling it the whole team seems off and if he on it forces the team to move upon

That being said not great Lebron is the enforcer on this team. If I had to pick two roleplayers from recent years just for being tough and getting into people's faces to have back would be Dwight from the bubble year and Schroeder now. Bubble team gets so disrespected but that was as tough and physical imposing team that Ive seen through the years

Again, that's the benefits of Bronny being around. Year 22, you need a reason. The benefits/hindrances that's doing to Bronny's development is another topic, but it definitely fuels Bron and we need that.

Breaking your own record as the oldest to do something that was 5 years ago...NUTS!

He's getting really locked in to the time to turn it on dial. Had to do it both against the Raptors and Grizz and did so in a loud fashion. The current roles being fulfilled by the other starters and JJ's schemes have been putting him in good spots to be able to go to that well offensively and to be able to defend like that against JJJ. With AD as the focal point, with a more engaged Rui on both ends, with AR's usage up, and with logical movement Bron is going to have more in the tank. So much better than a coach giving him the ball, cape and clipboard and praying he can do it all.

Also: They're going to study his in game load management for years after he calls it a career.

This was like a WestBrick triple double: played pretty awful but the boxscore looked ok I guess

4 triple dubs in a row is impressive. At 39.9 years old? Unreal.

30 years from now: some geeked-out NBA trivia quiz:

Lebron James first had a triple-double four games in a row at what age?
    A. 20
    B. 23
    C. 25
    D. 30
    E. 39

I mean: how many people would get this one?

The hate is strong with you and I respect your commitment … much like I respected Kobe’s commitment in this photo shoot

LeBron’s my favorite player, but like Chick and Stew, you have to call the BS when you see it. Fair and unbiased.

Insane in year 22 there's still something he can do that he hasn't done before.

Offense wasn't there but he did come through at the end. Finger was firmly on the pulse of the game with the dimes. Fought his a** off on the glass too.

What he's able to do because he's not having to do as much on offense this year

    Old Man and the D

... get your head out of the gutter
