His ankle is never going to be 100%, IMO.

I pray it can get close; but he is still very uncomfortable moving off of it and exploding, cutting, etc.

    Sucks.

I have a feeling that when he said he'd never be 100% again in his career, he wasn't being really talking about his ankle. What he meant was that as an athlete, 36-years old, 18-seasons deep, with INSANE mileage on his legs, that he was never going to be in prime physical shape again. Remember he used to basically never get injured, and never had to miss any large number of games in order to heal/rehab. I think he just recognizes that those days are over (starting with the 2019 groin injury), and that he's basically going to be fighting an uphill battle against aging/injuries going forward, whereas he used to confident he'd bounce back quickly from his minor injuries and maintain that prime. Badly sprained ankles can take a long time to fully recover from, but they're not permanent.

exactly how i read that. i'll never be "100%" again in that i can no longer even touch the rim and my groin might rip if i try to stay in front of a young person. but that doesn't mean i can't be as good as i was before i turned my ankle five weeks ago. which, in lebron's case, meant "the front runner for the league mvp".

100% keeps meaning different things, for sure. his current, relatively-lowered 100% is still in the league's 99th percentile.

This was Bron's plan all along. Make guys think we're weak, get the good playoff matchup in the 1st (and 2nd) round, and then

    Nobody saw that coming.

That's some serious meta gaming right now.

I want double digit assists from Bron vs Sacto. Don't care about points.
