Full Monty.... [IMG] Am down with that! Apparently to change or edit a "title" it is different than it was on CL per what Barns said this morning.

So for an OP, what is the secret new procedure?

You can't do it from inside the thread. the OP needs to do it from the page that lists the thread. Just click the "edit" button on that line, and change the title, then hit save.

6 out of 17. Kobe looks like he is going to have to work very hard since no one on this team requires a double team. I would not doubt if Kobe's shooting percentage is the lowest of his career this year. He's not the one on two player he once was. Had to make too much out of one game, but with 4 games in 5 nights, we'll probably get a glimpse of what we are in for pretty quick.

Kobe is not shooting enough!! But man the defense is on him tight and he has to battle for every point. Hope his body keeps up.

This'll be what we'll see all year. Kobe is the only player opposing defenses will have to worry about.

    This.
Especially in the first quarter, if Kobe wasn't controlling the and shooting the other Lakers would be getting stripped or missing easy shots.

    First row is this year
    2nd row is career

Career shots per minute average: .535
This year shots per minute average: .737

    That's a sizable increase.
Staggering actually, considering he's one of the biggest gunners of all time. Not sure who else should shoot at this point, but impressive he can still drop 30+ points in less than 30 minutes on the second night of a back to back at his age.

His percentage might drop a little with age, but he still appears to be quite effective.
And our team appears to suck.

It's sad because Kobe is showing that on the right team, I believe he could still contend for a ring just like Duncan.

Kobe leads by doing. If we are down he will shoot. It is his nature to shoot. He leads by shouldering the responsibility. Unfortunately few players can do this every night and win consistently and you could argue no player has done this for a full season and a championship series.

Kobe has trouble trusting this team. So do a lot of the Laker fans. So do the press who not only laugh at our team and call them out as lacking talent, yet magically expects Kobe to turn this team into a loaded team, he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Does he try and build a true team game and sacrifice games he feels he could win? I have no answers but I sympathize with Kobe. If you have played basketball at any level you will know this feeling of whether you want the ball in your hands when you need to score, or you give up that control and trust someone else.

The next two years are the best two years of what is left of his career. That is a fact. I think he needs to shoot until the team mans up and shows him they can score. That is the test which very few players of late have passed. If you can contribute Kobe can relax. This was seen in the Olympics. Unfortunately the talent difference is stratospheric vs ground leve. They get scared. I hope Lin steps up. I do think the Randle incident may have taken the heart out of the team for the Suns game. I saw Kobe make some excellent passes and Hill hesitate and not finish or have to hesitate and alter his shot. I know he is not blake griffin, but it is frustrating. The learning curve is hopefully under 20 games, or the season will be a wash.

Who wants Lin shooting right now? Dude can barely make a pass without a turnover happening.
Who wants Price shooting right now?
Who wants Weasley shooting right now?
Who wants Boozer shooting right now? Dude completed more passes to the Suns yesterday than his teammates.

Last night was basically Kobe/Davis/Hill/Ellington vs. the entire Suns team.

Kobe shoots too much because his teammates are playing like s*** right now. I wrote this in the GD chat. The Suns knew no one else on the team could shoot, so they were covering Kobe with a main guy and two guys on each side playing off whoever was on the court. Kobe knows no one else on the team can shoot, so he has to shoot.

Teammates need to step the F up or we will be the worst team in the league.
