its real because I saw a video in the past where this mascot would do this to all the bucks players. But I never thought they would try it out on opposing players let along the Black Mamba

..... or his finest hours still to come. Has a team around him again.... guys he can trust. Not to mention a BIG man down low. Max and Marcellus saying Monday it's working out great for us actually that we missed out on the FAs because we're going to suck again and keep our pick next year. Just a shame Kobe has to go out this way. GTFOH.

We aren't going to be great next year, but we aren't going to be bottom 3, Marcellus is just a ridiculous hater and Max isn't loud enough to speak over his big mouth at times. Unless we suffer the same amount of injury as last season, we aren't bad enough to keep the pick, on paper we're already better.

That video of Kobe not reacting to the Bucks mascot thing, classic Kobe. He might have been looking down and not even seen it, but I've seen so many other guys get scared by that, of course Kobe would brush it aside and keep walking by like nothing happened ha ha.

I'm sometimes tempted to call the show just to tell Marcellus he's a ridiculous hater, but then I remember he's just the resident clown and will say anything to get attention. Those two also called out Kobe on their ESPN show for saying things to the media. Kellerman is at least semi-intelligent, but he's also prone to hyperbole like most radio hosts.

The Lakers won't be in the bottom 5 this season. Right now the Lakers are poised to be much closer to the playoffs than the bottom of the pack. We've got a team of explosive players and solid vets. It's a good mix. We probably come up short of the playoffs, but we'll be much closer and if we keep the pick it's because we hit the jackpot on our 1.5% chance or whatever it'll be.

Yeah. Only way we keep the pick is if Silver gives us the Cavs treatment.

Wiley is a clown. I used to think he was entertaining when Max & Marcellus was fresh on the air, but his Clipper homerism has evolved to beyond annoying. During these shenanigans, he flipflopped on Deandre like Deandre flipflopped on The Clippers. Yesterday, you could hear him get defensive anytime anyone tried to criticize what was happening, making any excuse or explanation to make it sound like it was perfectly acceptable behavior. It was the equivalent of a 6 year old going "nuh-uh!"

I still love Max though. He's well spoken, witty, and makes salient points most of the time...doesn't take himself too seriously either.

It seems like the Lakers are making solid moves this offseason to improve the team. When I say improve I think they're going to be trying to compete to get into the playoffs vs being a lottery team again. This season is it for Kobe I think if they don't get into the playoffs and they don't make some sort of noise. If they were in the playoffs and somehow got to the semi's with a strong potential to attract a major free agent next offseason like a Kevin Durant, I think Kobe would give it another season if he knew he was going to come back to a team on the rise with another superstar on the way.

Marcellus is ridiculous. He says whatever he can to start crap. Loves the dramatics.

Every talk show has to have a polarizing buffoon with no solid basis about his train of thought...Wiley fits that job description.

If 24 is slotted in at the 3, it will save him from wear and tear taking into account his aging body not to mention avoiding another injury. Still prefer a capable vet there though...

Kobe's at his basketball camp an hour south this weekend and I'm going out of town. This sucks. I met him at the same camp 3 years ago.

Has much as I may doubt he'll ever be healthy again, or ever be the player he once was, there is always a part of me that believes Kobe will prove everyone wrong.

Its a great camp isn't it. I went to his Basketball Camp (Academy as he calls it) the very first year it started. I was 18 years old at the time, which is the last age range until you can't attend anymore. He was there every day teaching the different offenses we had to run and just talking it up with guys. He and I had a good little chat during our team pictures. Won't ever forget that time. He also signed one item of anything we wanted for every camper there. Not very often you are playing league games, your hands are on your knees catching your breath during a teammates free throws and you glance over to the sidelines and Kobe is just pacing back and forth watching us all.

    Just a cool dude...

I was 23 when I met him there so I was long past the time to do his camp. Though I did Michael Jordan's camp there when I was 16 and it's the same deal. Since I had been to MJ's camp I knew where all the gyms that were being used were at. Saw him duck out the back door during the middle of the day at the Thunderdome and knew there were 2 other gyms he was going to be at and they were going to be open. Went to the first option and he was there and so was Troy Polamalu as his son was going to the camp. He was invested in the kids so we didn't try to approach him or anything, just hung out and watched the kids play ball. He left that gym and I knew he was headed to the rec center.

So we headed over there and there he was, just chilling outside on the phone with a couple of camp workers / security making sure he had his space. He ended his call, went into the rec center and we waited. There was me and my two friends and another group of 5 or 6 college kids. Sure enough he comes out 20 minutes later from the front entrance and he comes up to the little group that's come together and chats for a minute or two and signs some autographs. One kid asked him what kind of moisturizer he used, lol.

Kam, former member, hZm at ClubLakers was there that year and was Kobe's photographer and was with him on the golf cart that picked him up when he was done at the rec center.
