did I read that right? They drafted Ray Allen and then promptly traded him for Stephon Marbury? Really? I know hindsight is 20/20 but wow.
Wow, first the mistake at least one could understand at the time on Allen over Kobe, then an epic fail on Starbury. I'm not sure I'd recover mentally from that.
What is the most educated guess then? Is Julius a Rookie next year or not? I don't even know if there is a line somewhere for number of minutes but a few minutes in his very first game should not disqualify him next year in the running against our (please dear lord in the name of all that is holy.....) top 5 pick this year.
You're saying "no" for certain? That would truly suck and be really stupid because of cases just like this.
I am all for Kobe continuing as a mentor, player-coach or whatever else he is comfortable with. But he'll have to take a drastic -- and I mean DRASTIC -- pay cut. I mean absolutely no disrespect to Kobe; he's a basketball legend, one of the best players to ever play the game. I am one of his biggest fans on this forum. But he can come back for the minimum or something similar. His salary can't prevent us from signing free agents.
I am a little drunk, but can someone lease explaine me, how is it possible that Kobe and SHAQ have 2 MVP, and Steve has 2 ??? And what am i missing RW for MVP- i know he is playing nuts, but they will be 8. For me it is clear Steph has to take it.
Steph will probably take it. Just like Nash did -- he's the best player on the best team. Kobe has one MVP award and two NBA finals MVPs. I'm not counting his All-star MVPs here.
