Crazy, but Kobe endured more than the Hollywood character to reach greatness. I wish everyone would watch Whiplash. Great movie about being single minded and focused and letting NOTHING stop you.
Finally watched Muse. Compelling stuff man oh man. Great documentary and a really good look into his life and the way he's had to prepare around this last Achilles tear. After watching that it's nearly impossible to really hate the guy. After watching that you've got to have some respect for him even if you don't like him. I loved the bits about his family and the start of his career. Loved that. I thought it dragged a bit towards the end, but part of that is just because it's so fresh in our minds some of those things. The Achilles tear, the return, passing Michael, the shoulder... I just hope he has enough left for one more honest try next season. Just one more honest effort, everything he's got left in his tank. Then he can call it a career and move on to more well-rounded endeavors and spending time with his family. Definitely worth the watch.
Lakers plan on honoring Kobe next season. http://www.dailynews.com//sports/20...promises-changes-if-lakers-dont-hit-timetable
I think Kobe learned the mistake of Jordan in retirment. things change so fast. There is no doubt in my mind that if Durant signs in LA Kobe stays for another season.
Mike Trudell @LakersReporter · 7m 7 minutes ago Scott said Kobe will be at the rest of the home games. When the team leaves, Bryant will stay in L.A. to continue his rehabilitation.
Serena Winters @SerenaWinters · 8m 8 minutes ago Byron Scott says he talked with Kobe Bryant about wanting him around more to close the season.
WTF, Byron, Kobe doesn't do tank. You just don't get it. Stop fighting this you'll be a lot happier NEXT YEAR with a shiny, newer, younger, more improved roster. I "get" having Kobe there and great to see him on the bench and good for the players for him to have their ears, but it really will not help the tank. If we can only catch some luck and a top 2 or 3 pick. NY will probably get #1. Just because.
Good to see Kobe around the guys again. Saw Boozer greet him in the tunnel and Kobe giving some advice to JC in the Laker snap chat. Maybe he can give Scott some coaching points (for next season).
Wait... what the hell is going on? Are you guys honestly upset with Byron for wanting Kobe to be with the team? One of Kobe's major responsibilities right now is to help the young kids grow. To help Clarkson and Randle and even Tarik Black grow into better players for us in the future. We're all over Nash's case because he can't be bothered to be with the team, but we're upset Kobe is going to be there? What are you guys talking about? I love that he'll be there.
LA DAILY NEWS: Lakers’ Kobe Bryant optimistic about recovery, understands possible lengthy rebuilding process http://www.dailynews.com//sports/20...derstands-possible-lengthy-rebuilding-process
In a suit?? I mean he wasn't adding many wins this season when he was actually on the court! Now he'll win a game from the sideline? I'm not getting it...
We're paranoid . Showing them all the Mamba mental tricks and instilling the killer, winner attitudes in them. Maybe any of them up their play in crunch time that nets an unwanted win. The dark side is taking over......must have pick.....must have pick.
I'm completely sympathetic of the tank, but Kobe is going to have almost no impact on the wins/loses of this team. All he's doing is going to home games and helping the young guys learn.... And that's a bad thing? That's worth hating on Byron for? I think we're a little too quick to bash Byron for every little thing.
