Gutted out injury and made it to Eastern Semis. Seem to recall along the way at least one 40 pt game in playoffs.
Wait, Kobe for Rip, Prince, and draft picks? The best player in the NBA for that? Hmm, maybe Mitch isn't as smart as we think. Kobe in the East though, with Billups and Sheed, and a decent roster around them? He probably still gets a couple rings and we suck for a while. Also, that Grantland episode was great, old, candid kobe is fun.
Just watched the Grantland interview. My takeaways -Haha @ them saying how he and Shaq probably both enjoyed getting their own ring after they broke up. And Kobe reminded them he has 2 to Shaq's one. -Like us, I don't think he'll ever forgive Stern or let go of the CP3 trade. He even brought up the Clipps stealing him from them -He doesn't want the farewell tour that Dr J or MJ received. I wonder if Riley retires his number too. -Interesting hearing his philosophy on ring chasers -Looking forward to his chapter on Phil whenever he decided to do it in a book or another documentary. Cool hearing they still talk often and meet for breakfast when Phil's in LA. -Glad he said he wouldn't change anything about being Dwight's teammate. -Sorry Malone, he dismissed any chance of a fight
Seen Kobe on Kimmel just to watch his reaction on that clip from Young, Lin, and Hill...classic reaction by Kobe (not happy).
Kobe don't play that game. It looks like Kobe got a little P.T.S.D flashback of Dwight. They are funny cats but Kobe is right here, celebrating when your heading for the lottery is uncool.
one of the best interviews I ever saw of Kobe. The questions were spot on, Kobe was relaxed, funny and accurate. great stuff.
The full clip from Kimmel. Priceless. The fun starts at 1:36... I am gonna miss this guy so much its ridiculous.
I hadn't seen that ridiculous post game interview before it made it on Kimmel. That's embarrassing and never would've happened if Kobe was there. I don't care it's Boston or not, we're a truly terrible team and there's no reason for such tomfoolery from Young, Hill, and Boozer. To put things into perspective, teams have had winning streaks with more wins than we have on the season. Do a better job of representing the jersey you're wearing and the historical clout that comes with that.
I honestly don't mind it too much, but it definitely shows where we are now as a franchise. Celebrating an Overtime victory on our own home floor against a bad team like it's Game 7 of the Finals. It shows probably that Young, Hill, Lin, and Boozer aren't cut out for winning a title. Maybe they can be on the team, but the level of focus and effort it'll take to get there is something I don't know if these guys will ever get. That being said, in a season where we are historically terrible, I don't hold it against these guys for having fun. It's good to know they aren't in there moping about being on this awful Laker team. Ultimately I'm sure they'll get told that's not how we do things here.
Ding got to see the documentary early http://m.bleacherreport.com/article...een-sense-of-vulnerability-in-new-documentary
I'm truly glad Kobe is doing this kind of documentary. Not just for my own personal pleasure, but so many years from now when a whole new generation is introduced to the game of basketball and hear the name Kobe Bryant, they won't just have his stats and highlight packages, but now they'll have this documentary to see the "real" human instead. I don't have Showtime, but am really hoping and anticipating someone uploading it
Sam Amick interviews Kobe: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...howtime-documentary-cinema-director/24002331/ And here's the extras that didn't make the article: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ael-jordan-phil-jackson-advertising/24037549/
Day one purchase for me when it comes out on Blu-Ray or DVD. It has to... I have to add that it is nice to find out that Odom is in a good place.
I am really looking forward to the documentary. It's coming out tomorrow right? Hopefully someone can upload it!
