Yup. It feels like I'm watching 'the end,' in that video. Nevertheless, I still think he gets the surgery and comes back next year to a more competitive roster; he'll be severely limited, though; that should be without saying...

Don't necessarily agree with severely limited, unless you are talking about minutes. Long as he's healthy again. Skills will still be available. As long as the minutes are "limited" to what's "reasonable" for him to be able to play well. Wouldn't even say severely there. Just not brain dead like this year minutes management.

I just wanna throw this out there for fun, Kobe has missed many games, his scoring has dipped, his shooting has been awful, and he still was voted an all-stat starter over Harden. Of course Kobe won't play, and Harden will start, but I can't help but love seeing the bearded flopper get dissed.

I know this won't be popular because Harden is still a double D douchebag, but the guy has been great this season. He's carried the Rockets to where they are now. He really should have been starting over Kobe honestly.

Oh Harden absolutely deserves the start, he's leading the league in scoring and yeah, carrying that team. I just can't stand him, so I'm happy that Kobe gets his what, 17th all-star selection(?) over him.

I seriously hate the dude. Plays like an idiot, gets way more credit than he deserves, gets absolutely everything from the refs... Wade 2.0 and I don't like Wade either.

He's effective. So by extension, I suppose you could say he's great. But he plays zero defense, and gives up as much as he does on the offensive end. Combine that with his disgusting (in a bad way) game, I, and many others, can not stand him.

I hate him for the fact that he flops. Everytime he drives and does that head thing he gets a call. If he gets the kind of ref treatment Kobe gets then he would be an average player at best. The media also claims him to be the best SG, apparently the only thing that matters is offense then.

He's averaging 2.0 steals per game which are a career high and 4th in the NBA and 0.9 blocks per game too. I know those stats don't tell the whole story, but still he's providing more there than he ever has in the past. He'll never be confused as a great defender, but he does focus at times and is effective. The lapses he has shown throughout the rest of his career are still there, but they're less frequent.

Like I've said, I don't like him. He's still got the referee help that Kobe never got. He's still a jerk. I think people need to give him props though as he's taken his game to a higher level this season.

Harden is an effective player and should definitely start. Most of us don't like him, but that doesn't really change anything. He is leading the league in scoring and carrying a successful western conference team.

The doctor mentions a scan from two months ago(according to Darius Sorianno), so they knew all the time that surgery was needed...Kobe chasing MJ, driving the ratings up and then shut it down. But not imideatly, beceause it would be too obvious.
That actually makes me optimistic, beceause there i a plan behind all of this...it also explaines the poor FG%.

Agreed, but it's also pretty crazy. I wonder who was driving the plan - Kobe or mgmt?

maybe they knew about the injury a while ago (2 months ago) but that doesn't mean it was this injured (torn).

They would have known then though that playing on it more COULD tear it even if it wasn't torn yet.

This looks more and more premeditated and I think it really was torn. Conspiracy theory? Maybe, but the facts are there:

    1. Kobe was the ONLY part of the offense when he played. It was give him the ball and get out of the way. No ball movement, no player movement.
    2. As soon as he got the record he started playing less and less. After he passed Jordan he played 2 games, missed 3, played 4, missed 1, played 1, etc etc.
    3. The doctor compared the damage he feels now (Jan) to a scan they took months ago. Kobe was complaining of shoulder soreness since Oct.
    4. Any doctor knows that continuing to play on a damaged muscle can lead to a tear.

This is a large scale conspiracy! The Lakers knew Kobe had a torn rotator cuff early in the year. Two things were needed though: Kobe needed that record and the Lakers needed the ratings. Byron and Kobe conspired to get him that record while not putting them in a position to win a lot of games. Then once Kobe got the record, they'd shut him down and start the tanking officially.

    It's clear now!
