Cute pic. Little guy looks just like Jamal, i mean, he looks exactly like his dad . All the nba players (cp3, barnes, jamal, panda etc.) kids know who's the man (sports writers should take notes) LOL.
I wonder if either of Kobe's girls likes playing around with a basketball? LeBron is blessed, he has at least one kid that digs it from what's been on the web recently.
No no no, you've got it backwards. LeBron's SON is blessed because his father is the King, the Chosen One, check his $tats.
I'm hoping Kobe's girls have some sport each of them comes to love and will love having his support. Ehhhh I don't know though, just from admittedly outside, shallow , uninformed observation ..... I'm thinking Vanessa's side of the equation there could maybe nullify the "worldbeater athlete" environment effect.
Like it or not, Lebron's kid can ball. As for Kobe, i think one of his daughters plays soccer He needs to work on another kid (a boy) though... with Candace Parker maybe .
I think one plays softball, not sure. A boy between kobe and Candace would have a whole lot of pressure to be an NBA superstar.
Anyone else think that maybe this year is it for Kobe? I know he would be turning down a lot of money to retire this year and has always said he would play out his contract, but what if he doesn't want to deal with the night-in, night-out farewell hoopla that next season will bring? What if after 19 years of being a part of the Lakers family saying goodbye is too hard? It's far-fetched and unlikely, but if the Lakers don't add another superstar in FA this summer I could see it happen. And frankly there aren't going to be any true superstars available. I could see Kobe pulling a Michael Scott and telling everyone next year is it for him when all along it was really this season.
^Honestly I can't imagine him doing that. Finishing his career in such disappointing fashion is something Kobe could not stomach IMO. I rather expect him to sign yet another contract and even joepardize his health long term if necessary just to make sure he goes out with some noise and being at least on a semi-contender. Even if that doesn't seem very likely from the perspective of most fans, Kobe might see it differently. I just hope that what ever he decides, he and Scott find a way not to overload him and find him a role more suitable to his current physical limitations. I would hate to see him go for an entire season like this one, let alone a few in a row.
Yeah if he is healthy enough and we get any kind of a sniff of a contender I could see him staying around, if not getting embarrassed out there. Or not. He keeps mentioning all the preparation work is getting harder and harder. Also personally I don't believe he most enjoys the practices over the games themselves. That doesn't compute for who he has always been, loving the biggest moments and challenges. But g-damn it he has to take a fraction of his salary and be happy with it if he sticks around.
I wouldn't put it past him to retire really, but it depends on how the year finishes. He's still very good. If he left, you would know he could still do it. He also said he might want to play in Europe with their light schedule for a year or two.
Almost glad Lakers arent contending for an eighth spot to only eventually get blown out in the playoffs if we did squeek in, seems like well save those legs of Kobes for the home stretch of his career.
