I would love it if the fans showed their distaste for what has become the All Star “Game” by not tuning in at all next year. I’m officially done with it until significant changes are made.
Still don't understand why these guys can't play mostly non contact defense with positioning (making an attempt to stay in front of their man) and athleticism (arms up and jumping to block shots) at 85-90% effort ..... especially since defense is one half of the game and some of these guys seemingly pride themselves on it.
There’s no incentive. It doesn’t mean anything to them. If there were a few greats on each squad that cared about it, then they could maybe get their teammates to care as well. Everyone is friends with everyone else. There doesn’t seem to be any individual rivalries anymore. It seems like all of that died when Kobe’s generation of players retired.
Kobe's playing serious getting after it >> D. Wade cracks him across face and breaks his nose >> Kobe, "I love it!"
I think it's old, but dang, it's also awesome. I don't think I ever heard his narrated version of this. Powerful.
I didn’t remember this story, or that things went down like this. Always thought George Karl was an a**, and he still seems to be, arguing with Melo and Lakers fans on Twitter to this day, he seems like a petty, grumpy old dude
I never did like Malone. What a big baby- so jealous of the passing of the torch in an All Star Game?! As for Karl, I love it that Kobe used this as fuel to knock out the Nuggs three times in the playoffs.
Embarrassing. Kobe Bryant's statue has multiple misspelled words.. Names of two players - Jose Calderon and Von Wafer - and a basketball term are misspelled on the statue. Names of two players are misspelled: Jose Calderon is spelled as Jose Calderson, while Von Wafer's name is engraved as Vom Waver. Also, the term DNP - Coach's Decision is misspelled in one line as DNP - Coach's Decicion.
