    OK, so, the Kobe statue is growing on me. I think I like it. Especially knowing that that’s what he wanted it to be, that he saw his 81-point game as the defining moment of his otherworldly 20-year career. I think I was initially disappointed because it wasn't any of the cool ideas we'd all been throwing around. But if that moment was meaningful to Kobe, that goes a long way. It just took me a little bit to warm up to it.

    I don’t like the statue lol, Kobe’s face looks scary and he looks like he’s hailing a cab. There’s just something in his actual photo of that moment that the statue didn’t capture, like they are one frame off of capturing the moment right, but they picked just too soon or just too late if that makes sense. I’m sorry, that face is creepy, it’s the eyes, they should have been looking down like the photo I remember, or maybe even closed as to not frighten children with the black soullessness. He also looks like he hasn’t eaten in weeks, I dunno

    The sheer size of that statue and its most important positioning .... and now 2 more are coming? I dunno. The 2 jerseys was a one off in the first place and now this seems (maybe) (I don't know) it could open a conversation after all of them are up of it being too much .... overdone? Hope not but it could seemingly eclipse all the others.
