I still can’t watch a lot of these videos and whatnot. But I’m glad y’all are keeping this thread going.
Missing you tonight Kob. Even when you weren’t hitting shots, your intensity and strong mentality were off the charts.
She would be dominating High School basketball right about now just like his dad did in Lower Merion, and would likely already be considered a top WNBA prospect. ... This is all still too tough to accept.
This is the hardest part for me. I never watch Women's BBall, but I was so looking forward to this. You know Kobe would have been courtside.
Oh me too. I was expecting to have the same level of fandom almost as I had for Kobe …. following Gigi’s HS, college, pro and Olympic career. She wanted it just like he did and had the best teacher in the world basketball wise for the physical skills and mental part of the game. Would have been a HUGE positive impact for women’s basketball.
You don't honor Kobe by beating his team in LA. You do it by leaving GS for LA and helping a Lakers team win a 'ship.
Melo's retiring, we kinda are still playing against the Nuggets in the WCF, so I think it's a good time to remember this series Was a really fun watch. They were a very solid team, and the second best team in the league (after Garnett went down) that year. It was really fun watching Kobe and Melo going at each other that year, and of course, especially fun since we won. Sadly for them, Kobe was not gonna be stopped by anything that year.
